feedback about Palms West Hospital
Hospital was overall great. All nurses were attentive and Doctors as well. I would say more consistency with metal detectors and get rid of the lady that asks about what you would like from cafe she was rude every day she came into room.
Too many people who aren’t even nurses barging into my room while I am having contractions before labor! Or while I am showering and getting dressed! Absolutely NO privacy! Random people who don’t even work there came in my room trying to sell me things without even knocking.
Nurse Toni and nurse Aetna are excellent. They both educated me and trained how to help my child with his recent diagnosis. Mrs. Millie, Social worker, has helped tremendously with outside services due to my situation and giving me the tools .Jeff he is an excellent dietitian, he trained me so well and made me realize that the diet is something that I can control. Hannah, is a very sweet and kind CNA and is very professional. The pediatric staff is very professional and worked as a team. Dr. Damian is down to earth and was very supportive. She even gave me her card even though she does not take his insurance. Thank you Palms West.
To inquiring patients I am not satisfied with my child’s experience at Palms West hospital. October 18, my child was seen in the e.r after a car accident . She have little to no mobility in her right leg , yet they told me there was nothing wrong with it after testing/ exams. About 2 days later, I took my child to Wellington Regional hospital and was only told about a strain ; presumably after 4 days my child is still hopping around on 1 leg in pain. By taking her to St.Marys hospital , I then learned that the entire time the main bone in my 6 year old foot is broken which she is now in a cast for 6-8 weeks . I do not understand how they didn’t see that her foot was broken when they’re suppose to be “doctors”. Please be mindful and if you feel that something isn’t right go for another opinion.
The worst bed side manner from the attending physician I have ever experienced. The nurses are pleasant but have no qualms gossiping to other nurses about you. The Peds ER wasn't bad at all, the doctors and staff knew what they were doing. This ER is closet to me but it would be my last resort if there was any chance of admittance to the floor. Come on medical professionals, you are humans just like your patients, have some respect and courtesy!
