Pekin Memorial Hospital

Went here for an MRI that was ordered by my oncologist a couple years ago. Not only did they not follow the order, they scanned the wrong part of my body....TWICE! For my third MRI I was smart enough to go to another hospital. Unfortunately I didn’t learn my lesson and went back to Pekin hospital when I had smashed my foot with a pallet jack. I chose convenience over quality. They took an X-ray and told me I had tendinitis and it would go away. It wasn’t long before I decided to get a second opinion from a doctor not associated with Pekin or Unity point. Much to my surprise I didn’t have tendinitis at all, I had a foot that was fractured in multiple places. I’d stay out of here if you value your time or well-being.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. Staff is not quick, staff is not helpful. Some of the doctors are a joke. Rider is a solid nurse practitioner. Other than that this place is ridiculous. Much rather go elsewhere if insurance allowed it

i just gave birth to my son there on January 20th and i would just like to say that i had the greatest hospital experience of my life. Every single nurse that was there to help us went above and beyond to make sure my son and I were okay. Sidney, laurel, Dorothea, Jamie, Karen..i hope I got all their names right, I was exhausted! I would recommend pekin to any expecting mother, 10/10 times. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, I hope these ladies get the recognition they deserve!

I was sent to the pain center from a dr. referral in the ER. My appointment was at 11:30! It stated to arrive at 11:00. I called when I was a block away saying I’m going to be coming in at 11:03. The lady ulga her name was said okay that’s fine. So I get all the way up to the office. They said it’s an inconvenience to the dr. How is me calling and making sure it’s still okay and get the okay to come in inconvenient to the dr? I understand I’m late. But 3 freaking minutes is ridiculous! Hope you guys can help all the junkies in pekin. While all the people that actually need treatment suffer.

Had a very pleasant birthing experience for my first child. The staff were very courteous and knowledgeable, they really made my experience a positive one. The night staff I had were especially great, they gave me lots of attention and put my mind and body at ease while in labor. I know people have negative thoughts and such about Pekin Hospital, but their birthing floor is top notch. I will most definitely be back for any future children and share my pleasant experience with anyone and everyone. Thank you!
