The patient’s phone was lost and the hospital offered to replace it, but it was problematic because it’s expensive to buy a phone and get reimbursed. However the laundry staff found it tangled up in the bed sheets. the phone was left with security for the patient to pick up. Patient is too sick to drive and will take an Uber. it might’ve been nice for them to offer to mail it, but that’s a small thing compared to the honesty of returning an iPhone.

Went to this hospital in June as my local EMT upstate refused to drive me to an Albany hospital. I was bitten by a dog, and five minutes later I started to become weak, unfocused and showing symptoms of heat stroke. After much deliberation, I started out early to Tarrytown, arrived, and when I missed the bus to go towards Ossining, I hired a taxi to Phelps. The staff was very kind when asked directions to the ER, which only had three waiting patients. Arrived around 1 pm, left at 5 pm, in which the ER requested x-rays, fluids, antibiotic, tetanus shot, and IV fluids for rehydration. Bite wound was infected, as others said would require immediate care. Luckily, my doctor is affiliated with this hospital, and most of the information they had of me was already online, especially since I didn't have my Medicaid card because of the bumbling fools at the state and DSS. I definitely would have a procedure performed at this hospital, as I witnessed last year my father dying in St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, which was Horrendous. The level of care I received was far better than my parents received while in the ER and staying at the hospital mentioned above.

Everything is great about the facility except one thing and that is when I call the doctors' offices at 9:08 am , it goes to a voice mail that the office is closed. What !!! is this acceptable? Am I unreasonable to expect a real person answers the phone sharp 9am? or at least it lets me wait on the phone? I really did not to want o leave a negative review for northwell phelps , but the only way that someone may take this issue seriously is by leaving this review. Once this issue is resolved I will return and leave a five star review.

The nurse we had for my very elderly family member was extremely rude, he repeatedly gave his opinion that was not asked for and it wasn’t even medically related. While setting up my family members IV he discarded some of the liquid medication into a drinking cup and left it on my family members table next to her food and other drinking cups, I had to discard it after he left the room out of fear that my elderly and confused family member would pick the cup up and drink the medication.
