My father in law was treated with the utmost compassion and professionalism. The staff from Dr. Jones, nurses Rebecca, Tiffany and Alicia were excellent. Care coordinator Leah did a fantastic job. Tech Justin was spectacular. Caring, patient and very understanding. What a great experience as good as being in the hospital could be.

On a recent visit to Northern NM, I needed an emergency appendectomy. The care and honest personal interaction I received at Presbyterian Española was phenomenal. Thank you to the ER staff, Dr. Hough, and all the nursing staff in recovery. God bless your efforts.

Two thumbs way down for the condescending and poor customer service given to me. #1. I called to find out info on an upcoming appt and spoke to a not very knowledgeable young woman, so i let her know id call back later when other staff were in. Later that afternoon, I called again and got the same young woman on the line. I asked her for their fax number and she asked who the patient was so i stated my name. Not realizing it me but thinking someone was calling for me, she starts saying how i was crazy to think they could help me when i havent turned in all my paperwork and on and on. I was shocked. I just asked to be transferred, i had been so sick i wasnt up for an arguement-all i wanted was help. #2. Dr. Houghs office Area 4: The rudest service anyone could recieve has to be by the short chubby lady with black wavey hair, bangs and glasses. She is condescending, rude, not helpful, not caring, not patient or customer service oriented by any means. She has NO business working with sick patients who need kindness and understanding while being worried about their health and trying desperately to just be seen by a doctor. She would cut me off while, i spoke, she condescendingly spoke in hospital terms (i am a business major, not in the medical field). She gave off a bad vibe and showed no interest in helping or steering towards a positive outcome. Just 3 days later, i was taken into the care of Christus St Vincent for emergency surgery and was treated wonderfully and cared for. I am so thankful that there was another place i could entrust my health with. I will NEVER step foot again or recommend Espanolas Presbyterian to anyone. Go to Christus St Vincent if you want to get your health and life back.

The nurses were great but the communication between staff and doctors left everything yyo be desired. Want to get any rest while you're yhere? Don't count on it. Went there for a simple 30 minute surgery and was scheduled for a morning time slot was finally wheeled off to surgery just before 6:45 PM! Housekeeping making rounds in the middle of the night and vitals and blood work can't seem to TRY to work in conjunction with one another so you can get a bit of sleep. Worst experience I have EVER seen had with a hospital in my life. Wouldn't send my neighbors cat to this facility! Save yourself some major aggravation and ho somewhere else. I know I will be if the need arises again.

If I could give it a no star I would. Rude staff, yelled at my young children 2 and 5, waited in the e.r AFTER being triaged and sent back for 5 1/2 hours, when i inquired how much longer the wait is, i was met with rudeness and sarcasm. Will never return here again. This place needs new employees with empathy and sympathy rather than being mean and rude to children
