1) My blood was clumsily taken after I was already face-down on the biopsy table. It's never been done that way for any other bone-marrow biopsy I've had (and it shouldn't be), and I've had plenty. It should've been taken while I was still sitting up.
2) The biopsy itself was good.
3) The post-biopsy treatment was lousy:
a. not enough pressure was applied for not enough time on the wound (for the reason I know this, keep reading);
b. the dressing applied was too small and not secure (again, for the reason I know this, keep reading);
c. I was sent immediately on my way, instead of keeping me for 15-20 minutes to assure the dressing was still intact.
The results of (a), (b), and (c), above:
1) the gauze was quickly soaked with blood;
2) the surrounding bandage leaked the blood through my shirt and into the temporary car seat I was using. (My wife was able to clean the shirt, or I'd be visiting you for payment to replace it.)
Please assure future biopsies fix these shortcomings.
the best hospital experience i have ever had, beginning with the surgery itself. literally everyone i dealt with was kind and considerate, including the cleaning lady. my requests/needs were met promptly. in particular, i had a long drive home the morning after surgery and all my required steps for discharge were deliberately expedited at my request by the hospital personnel.
Easy check-in (after getting the hang of the tablet and its quirks). Pleasant staff at check-in. Very kind and considerate nursing group in the outpatient center. Good communication with all. Even got a result summary before I left the building.
My daughter was suffering from stomach issues when she was just 3 weeks old. The staff was very helpful and polite. We were in the waiting room less than 5 minutes before we were called back. As a first time parent it was nerve racking (I never ever get nervous), they made me feel at ease about things and continued to let know what she was going through was common. I would recommend any and everyone to go to this hospital. I definitely could appreciate their customer service.
The staff here is so, so friendly and conscious of the patient! Was always looking to make sure our sleep wasn’t interrupted by regular checkins unless absolutely necessary, which was nice. Always asking for what else they could to to help. Also, at the end they asked us for feedback about our experience so we got to provide a couple of minor feedback points which they seemed receptive to. Also, the food was delicious, not just for a hospital, but competitive with any restaurant!
