I was admitted thru the ER at this hospital and I was very pleased with all of my care. I had to have tests and the result was that I needed surgery. Since it wasn’t considered emergency surgery, I was told that I would have to do it outpatient. My desire was to come back to the hospital for the outpatient surgery but while the hospital accepts my Medicaid insurance, their doctors do not. My nurse tried to make an appointment for me before I left and she was denied. Does this make sense? Maybe Medicare for all isn’t such a bad idea?

I read all the other reviews and I am surprised at all the One Stars. My experience was great. Granted, I was an outpatient and only there for about 5 hours on 2 different days for cataract surgery. All the nurses were warm, caring, and friendly. As far as doctors, I only had to deal with the anesthesiologist who was great, along with my ophthalmologist. Even the person who wheeled me to the car was great. This was Presence St. Joseph

Their ER is the absolute worst ER I have ever went to. They are very short staffed up front took about 20 min before they even checked my blood pressure. Also the staff is very rude so if your not dying DO NOT go there they do not care for people that are in simple pain and will get you in and out fast without double checking stuff!!! Now I went to the outpatient area and it was a total difference the staff in Lab and in Nuclear medicine were extremely nice and compassionate so I'm raising stars to 3. Too bad ER can't follow examples

I went in for a cut on my finger to see if it needed stitches. It was small half inch. They said it looked good and to leave it. They put what they said was the same as Neosporin on it and some tape. Told me to keep the roll. I was in and out less than 20min. After insurance they billed me over $500. I've had a bed in other hospitals for less.

My husband was in the E.R. On Aug. 5 2019 at about 1 a.m. due to severe abdominal pain. My husband’s pain level was a10 out of 10 and when I asked the E.R. Doctor for pain meds, he screamed at me. I was just being an advocate for my husband and I can’t bear to see him in so much pain. I will never recommend this hospital to anyone. And my family will never come back to this hospital ever again.
