feedback about Providence Health Center
Was in Labor and Delivery waiting on our grand baby to be born. The night staff is AMAZING!! Very caring, compassionate and EXTREMELY NICE! Day time nurses came In and everything was HORRIBLE! The Day time Nurses are rude, uncaring and very inconsiderate!! Chose Hillcrest to have your babies at and stay far away from Providence!! This hospital cares nothing about family and DOES NOT care about their patients and the patients needs and wishes!! I would give them NO star if I could
Unfortunately due to my condition, I had to stay an entire week, but my experience was mostly great. Every single nurse really is an absolutely amazing person and extremely kind. The hospital administration was very nice and helpful, considering I didn't have insurance (which I'm guessing might have been why I had to wait 2.5 hours in the ER waiting room while a few others who came in later were seen before me.) The couple of doctors I saw were very nice as well. My only major complaint was the quality of pain management the first few days. I understand the current opioid crisis in the country scares doctors, but my pain was excruciating and it seemed like the doctors were unwilling to increase the doses or try more stronger alternatives, so I had to endure for hours until my condition got better with each day and the pain became a little more tolerable. Aside from that, everything else was pretty fantastic. I'll reiterate that the nursing staff is incredible and they all deserve commendations.
Took my companion to the E.R. for an exam ordered by the health clinic. Four months later we get a collection notice for$ 1374. We were never billed nor was the insurance billed. Found out from the collection agency that the ER is independently staffed by another company. What a con game. We settled on a$ 600 one time payment. Would cost more for a lawyer than what would be gained
Brought a friend who had been vomiting for weeks her regular doc didn't help her. So we brought her here to the er. Was told she would be seen very shortly. She is throwing up every 5 to 7 minutes. We set here over 2 hours so far. So there very shortly must be a different kind of time. No ambulances came in so there was no unexpected trama. The 3 girls behind the admit desk are barely working. They are laughing and playing with their hair. If that's what they get paid for I want that job. I have been here before and received good care but tonight which is a Monday sucks. I recommend this er to her but it was a big mistake.
