The emergency room front desk person was not attentive or friendly. I stood there several minutes without even an acknowledgment, no greeting, no I’ll be with you in a minute ... It seemed I was invisable to her. I was there to meet the ambulance who was transporting my elderly mother. Of course, I was anxious to know if she had already arrived. How hard is it to look at someone and say can I help you or I will be with you as soon as possible?? Also, my mothers care in the emergency room was unacceptable... my sister and I had to ask 5 or 6 times for help to get my mother to the restroom and it took more than an hour to get help. The doctor told us he ordered pain medication for my mother, but we had to ask several times for the meds and mother waited almost two hours for pain meds. At the time of discharge, they sent one nurse to get my medicated mother into a wheel chair and my mother ended up slipping out of the chair and on to the floor. Im very disappointed in the lack of care and feel bad that my 87 year old mother had to experience this.
