Today I went to the women’s imaging center and had the best experience. My doctor was trying to get me in for a same day imaging appointment and they were fully committed. Michele at the front desk knew that I had a vacation the next day and didn’t want to wait a week for results . After about 15 minutes she managed to squeeze me in and I was able to put my mind at ease. The technicians and radiologist that I dealt with were all caring , kind and informative. I highly recommend the women’s imaging in Reston.

As an impatient patient I was VERY happy with my stay! I was there for a total hip replacement...I was cared for, respected....the nurses were on the ball, knowledgeable, fun...They really did take care of me! The Doctor told me this would be the case! I was trained on how to get around following my surgery...they thought of everything on that floor! I had a great time! My hats off to the entire staff!

Part II
Well, I had to have my other hip replaced and I was given my choice of hospitals...to me this was a no brainer...Reston! I was again taken very good care of! Each person greeted me with a smile and really made me feel like I was the most important person there! Ms. D. led our group work and used the multiple replaced patients as guides for the others knowing just what questions to ask each of us. This made us feel useful during a time that may have felt useless! I had fun! I looked forward to going to the hospital knowing I was going to be taken care of and I know If I had a problem or a question I could call that floor and they would either answer it or find the answer for me! Thank You RESTON HOSPITAL....AGAIN!

This is an older hospital in the deep suburbs. The second attending physician said my sister needed to be moved to Arlington to have better access to Kaiser specialists. The first attending physician was very thorough and pleasant dealing with a very complicated case. Kaiser does not do some surgeries at Reston. MRI was ordered but she was discharged before they got around to it! You had to be there to get the nurses to do their jobs in some cases. Not the friendliest staff, but ok. The ER was empty and the doc was thorough and pleasant, but he suggested a DNR a woman without brain damage who was highly functional two weeks before. Could not differentiate between acute needs and long term loss of quality of life. I rejected this and she is recovering.

Went to the ER last night for trouble breathing and chest pain, and even though they were pretty busy throughout the whole time the entire staff was wonderful and able to deal with my weak body (I nearly passed out when getting a catheter in). I may hate hospitals, but I love this place!! Feeling significantly better.

“Dr.”Jemsek ordered a brain spect here. I drove 10 hours total for this test. My results came back saying “Your temporal lobes MAY be within normal limits”. WHO ON EARTH WOULD ALLOW THIS?? IT EITHER IS IN THE NORMAL LIMITS OR IT ISN’T!!!!!!! What was the point of going through this? They didn’t even offer to redo the test. Makes no sense.

Of course then they billed my insurance and sent me a bill as well. For what? I don’t understand what they did?!!!! That’s like having a mammogram and sending a patient a letter saying you MAY have breast cancer. Who does this?!!
