My husband and I were hit by a driver who failed to yield at her stop sign. I was at CMMC trauma center in Lewiston for 23 days and then transferred to Rumford Hospital swing bed unit for another 23 days of medical care and rehab. I received amazing care at Rumford. The nursing staff was awesome. PT and OT prepared me so well for my return home. The food was very tasty and nutritious. If you or a loved one need hospital care and rehabilitation from an accident or medical condition, Rumford Hospital swing bed unit is the best! I can't thank them enough for the excellent care they provided. ❤

Sadly, I thought I broke my butt on the Sunday River slopes and had to get checked out! My experience in the Rumford Emergency room was exceptional. They did an awesome job. Quick and efficient. Luckily my butt wasn't broken. Thank you Denise, Dr. Armstrong and the Radiology staff for the thorough, timely and efficient care.

My 18 month old daughter got a large gash on her arm, very deep and scary looking, the emergency doctor and nurses were really great. We were pretty freaked out and they did a great job calming my daughter ( and her parents) down and getting her fixed up. Dr. Barus was very kind and gentle with her and they even sang her songs while they stitched her up. Couldn't be more thankful. Thanks again guys great job

I've been meaning to write this review for months now (end of February visit)! We had such a WONDERFUL experience at this hospital and it even started with the phone call I made to the hospital before deciding to go there (since we weren't sure if we should go to Norway considering we were staying at Sunday River). When we arrived, the nurse was ready for us and we got checked-in immediately! My young son's face had swollen to the point he was almost unrecognizable! My husband and I didnt know if he fell skiing or if he had a tooth issue since he was complaining about tooth pain. Long story short, EVERY PERSON we encountered at this hospital was extremely caring, considerate and accommodating! We live near Boston so we are blessed to be next to the best hospitals in the world. Thankfully the nurses and kind doctor was willing to talk through every possible scenario with me and they really thought it was an abscess, likely caused by a cavity (which was surprising since I recently had my son at the dentist). They at least treated my son's "potential infection" and it's a good thing they did!! His face got even more swollen after leaving the hospital. Guess what? I had my son at the dentist the next day and THE DOCTOR WAS RIGHT!!! It was an abscess caused by a cavity! MANY THANKS to all of the outstanding nurses & the Dr. Who took great care of my son and gave us a correct diagnosis, while immediately treating the infection. THANK YOU!! We will visit this hospital any day!
