On Feb. 26th when I got home my husband told me he had a siezure and had a head ache and his stomach was upset. I cooked dinner and he didn't want to eat and went to bed. When he woke up on the 28th he was not making any sense when talking so I called the EMT. They came and took him to Albany ER. The nurse Carmen called me as I pullein to the parking lot and asked me to tell her what had happened. I told Carmen I was in the parking lot and would be right in. When I got in there she told me the Dr. had been in and saw my husband and said he was fine and she disagreed. I told her what had happened that morning. The Dr. had ordered a blood test and cat scan. Kenny his other nurse did a stroke test on him and he failed so thought he might of had a stroke. Results came back and Carmen came in to tell me that Dr. Nollis was discharing him. I had been at the hospital over 2 hours and Dr. Nollis had not even came in and talked to me. I went off saying telling her that he didin't know who I was or where he was or that he even had kids. She agreed with me that he should not be sent home. I told her I wanted to talk to Dr. Nollis and she said she would tell him. Kenny called the patient advocate to come down as Carmen had told him she did not agree with Dr. Nollis either and I was very upset and crying. Dr. Nollis came in and I had to demand he admit my husband. He said I was agressive, agitated and assertive, I mean really he was trying to send my husband home and he didn't know who I was or where he was.He called the admitting Dr. Wong on the second floor and she reviewed his notes and the nurses and ordered a MRI and blood cultures immediately and said she was admitting him. He had the MRI done and was taken to the 2nd floor, right after he got there he went into a siezure. Dr. Wong said the MRI showed swelling in his brain and they needed to transfer him to ICU and do a spinal tap ASAP. He was put on life support and things were not looking good. Long story short if Dr. Wong and Carmen and Kenny had not supported me he would of died. He was on life support for 8 days. He is home now and getting better. I just want everyone to know that Dr. Nollis should not be a Dr. and would of let my husband die. Anyone else have issues with him?

Unprofessional Nurses and Doctors. I go straight to corvallis for anything related to the ER or hospital. Would not recommend to have anything done here even in an emergency.

Comung from someone who rated this a one star in the past this is a big improvement here! In the past I had really bad experiences here due to the Nurse's and one specific doctor who was there. The Nurse's had no life in them and didn't seem like they cared to make sure you were okay. With the doctor it was just like he wanted to rush you out as soon as he could. But today I waited a few hours to get in cause it was decently busy but the staff were great to me this time. The receptionists had smiles and were very imformative the nurse's were sweet and genuinely seemed like they cared for you one to be specific is I think her name was Leigha. She was super cool, made the environment a much happier place than it normally is. She was very informative and smart, definitely knew what she was doing. The doctor there was very helpful, he noticed the pain I was in and was there every step of the way to make sure it was better and I was informed. And on top of it the guy who ran my CAT scan was super cool, he held a conversation with me like a normal person not like a robot like they all used to talk to me here. Thank you guys for your hard work I hope you keep up your hard work and everyone cut Leigha some slack she be working real hard for everyone and she needs some appreciation!

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The "care" I received was even more traumatizing to me than the injuries that brought me to the ER.

No one wants to stay in the hospital but I wouldn't pick any other hospital to be admitted to 4 times in the past 6 months. The nurses, CNA's, doctors, housekeeping staff, dietary staff, CT staff, radiology staff, and the countless other staff members that keep things running smoothly are simply amazing! Shout out to a few....RN Dave, RN Shelley, RN Holly and Dr. Kennedy! You all have helped me in so many ways! Thank you ALL for everything!
