San Leandro Hospital

My mother recently went to the ER at SL hospital for pain caused by gallstones. After waiting 6 hours, she was finally taken inside to see a doctor. After waiting for the doctor another hour and a half, he told us that my mother did not have gallstones. This was without any scans or ultrasound. He kept trying to convince us that it's muscle pain. Sent my mom home with a prescription painkiller. The pain persisted, so we took her to Kaiser. Within 15 minutes, she was taken inside the ER. They scanned her, and determined that it was gallstones, and performed a surgery to remove the gallbladder the next day. If anyone can avoid San Leandro Hospital, I highly recommend that they do.

Worst Hospital in the Bay Area ! It's been 3 hours and I still haven't been talked to or re-assured anything. Most if not everyone is New or "on orientation." There is not sensitivity or empathy given. Do NOT bring your kids here !

It is a nice hospital but they need to work on the wait time because they be having people waiting for hours.

Martha in the ER is amazing and knows her stuff. The ER staff is wonderful and will take great care of you. If you come to this hospital they will make sure you get top quality care. I have been to multiple hospitals and they are GREAT!!! I will come to this hospital for all my medical needs. They treat you with respect and dignity. They are very thourough and make sure you have the right care treatment and follow up with all kinds of tests to make sure they dont miss anything. They should be voted the best Hospital in the Bay Area.

They started out nice...then they started not coming when we beeped them...we had to beep at least 5 times before they came. Nurses didn't want to cut our pills for swallowing. When you ask them questions, they say they dunno, they'll go see--& then they Never Come Back! They even skipped a couple meals! We may need to add more later since it's not over with yet!
