feedback about San Luis Valley Health
The first trip was brisk but wasn't totally a bad experience. After going in a few times and calling more, my opinion has changed. The facilities are well maintained, but I have to jump through hoops for the simplest of things. More than that, my perscription has been wrong since I first got it from this provider, and though I've tried to change it back to the correct version that I've been on for four years, it has not been changed. This is obviously causing issues. I am very disappointed with this service, and recommend finding a doctor who is willing to work with you and your unique issues.
Went in for a c section Dr Hernandez did amazing to start out with the whole team was great I was having panic attacks and Crystal held on tight and made me super comfortable also post op was perfect Linda and Lisa go way out of their way to get what I need and took great care of me. Couldn't ask for a better experience.
Highly qualified staff for a more remote location. Very friendly with great patient care and bedside manner.
The only negative is that IT is in such a remote area and has a limited number specialist i.e., Neurology. That is completely understandable given the size of the hospital and it's location. I very much appreciate the nurses, doctors, and staff at this hospital.
Completely incompetent support staff, which is unfortunate as I liked my doctor. I had a blood draw @8:00am for same day results to be sent to my doctor in Denver. I checked with two different employees to make sure that they could do same day results. 3:00pm rolls around and still no results.
I went into the hospital, and the receptionist called back to the lab where the phlebotomist from the morning then lied to her and said she had told me they don't process that test there. When confronted, a Customer Service rep suddenly appeared and said that they had discovered a, "training issue" and said that their staff didn't actually know what tests were processed there. A WEEK LATER my doctor in Denver got the now worthless results.
Customer Service offered me a $10 gift card to Blessed Brews. I declined.
They took the time to explain things and they paid attention to what I said and how I was feeling. Their patient education program was very helpful and the person who held the meeting actually followed up and is easy to get a hold of. Some of the staff need to check their attitudes but the overall care of my conditions is well over what I have had a other hosiptals. They actually care. I would recommend them without hesitation.
