We were over billed twice and when we inquired about the discrepancy between what we were told we would owe and what we were billed we were told we had to pay what the bill showed. We ended up paying over $1900 after they told us that they would turn it over to a collection agency if we did not pay. Our insurance says we should have paid only $800. Months later and many phone calls to insurance and the billing department and we are getting no where. The insurance has paid their share, but there is always a different excuse why they are not refunding our money. We have never had this problem with medical billing anywhere else.
Was brought in here via the ambulance and have spent over 3 hours combined over the course of 3 days trying to get a doctor's note and information on my stay. I get re-directed every time and still don't have a doctor's note.
Billing system is the WORST!!! I have payment plan set up online and we consistently get PAST DUE notices and threats to send us to collection. I'd give them zero stars if it was an option.
My father in law has been here for 6 days so far. We visited for 7 hrs one day.
His nurse rarely, if ever, checked in on him.
Mind you, we were in the ICU!
I checked in on HER, she was on her cell phone at the nurses station for at least 5 of those hours. So was the other nurse, when she wasn't napping.
Most of the staff on floor 3 seemed distant and unfriendly.
So much UNPROFESSIONALISM on display.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
I was refused help for my back spasms here. I went to Allen Unity Point Hospital in Waterloo. There they gave me Flexeril for my back, and did an MRI. I suggest that people go to Allen Hospital.
