feedback about Scott &Amp; White Memorial Hospital
The patient care here is very thoughtful. The nurses appear to have a great system, with good bedside manners, and a solid transition system. I'm a little concerned with the lack of security in ICU. That's why it gets 4 stars instead of 5. This hospital is beautiful aesthetically inside. The cafeteria food is actually delicious with good choices for visitors. The chapel and gift shop are a little too isolated, but the chapel is peaceful with gorgeous stained glass. The entrance at night on the left, when looking from the outside, closes in the evening, and there didn't appear to be a notice about it, so if you're visiting into the evening, park toward the right side. The player piano needs to take a break after an hour or so... It gets to be too much when loved ones must wait downstairs for extended periods of time. May you and your loved ones be blessed.
I have been trying to resolve a billing issue with them for over a year. I am active duty military and I have never had this type of issue before. I don't understand why they are having so many issues processing this bill through Tricare while no other clinic we have worked with has had a problem. I would not recommend using them.
The WORST hospital ever! Waited 6 hrs to be told nothing was wrong when I actually had bronchitis! The nurses acted like they had never been sick or even cared if you were seen. They all had stank better than you attitudes and if you don't have insurance then good luck getting any help at all. They don't treat you like a human here.
The worst hospital to be placed at after a surgery has taken place. My sink is literally full of what appears to be human excrement since day 1 and it is now day 3. I was told my room will be blocked off for it to be fixed after I am discharged which will be Wednesday (day 7).
So I just have to live with the smell and sight of it. You would imagine that there would be something that could be done.
My review is specific to applying for employment. There are a lot of issues with the online application system yet you have no way to contact ANYONE to discuss. I would expect MUCH better from an organization like BSW. How many awesome candidates are they losing the possibility to hire because the candidates get fed up with the system and just look elsewhere? I have even attempted to reach out to a talent recruiter via LinkedIn without any response. Shame on you Baylor Scott & White.
