So many people say nothing about their good experiences. So I thought i would contribute a positive review. Amazing ER doctors and nurses!! I was taken to an er room right away. After being admitted I met one of the nicest internal medicine doctors ever. I was given a room quickly on the cardiac floor with lots of nurses yet again waiting to provide excellent care. If you have an emergency, a real emergency not just a stomach ache, this is the place to go.
Pleasure to have the care my husband had from Baylor Scott and White Temple. Kendra, the nurse, was friendly, informative and helpful in every way. Doctor Allen gave us the best care he possibly could and taking the time to explain every procedure during and after surgery. Patient and understanding. The rest of the staff also excelled with good humor and attention to the needs of the patients. Thanks for all you do. Ron Joseph
First, I want to make it clear that I have not been a client/patient at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center. I am researching this hospital in order to pursue health care for a relative. Second, I'm in the medical field. From the descriptions given below, especially about the nurses, incompetence and poor follow thru for something as simple as a catheter as well as an ER doctor behaving poorly, this place sounds like it needs an overhaul. When unprofessional behavior takes place to this extent, it means that management has allowed this to fester and therefore grow. They need a top down change to make it very clear this type of behavior or attitude will not be tolerated. Leadership needs to model and demand professional behavior. Even sarcasm, belittling or coworker disrespect breaks down the fiber of professionalism, which then spreads to the way clients/patients are treated. The reviews below are very disappointing. And for veteran Tarzan, much respect to you and thank you for your service. Sorry this happened to you as well as the other clients/patients. You deserve better.
Okay, this is definitely not what I wanted and my family and friends encouraged me to post this on social media because it's safe and I don't have to deal with my PTSD and hostile behavior.
I am not going to go into specifics because out of retaliation. (Which is a Felony) Never thought I would do this and certainly not a Medical facility where people are supposed to be polite. About a month or so ago I had the most handouts, disturbing, almost criminal and rude experience. In the clinic, basically a person who works for Scott and white Temple made some comments that were so severe, I thought it would be grounds for Termination or at least a Apology.
I was INSULTED for my Disability and other reasons. Which I am not going to put , again because of retaliation. I still think it's a nightmare.
Patient relations did absolutely nothing. And Managers too. The provider I see is wonderful and most of the staff are friendly.
Understand people have bad days, but this is so horrible and unprofessionally behavior.
I have nothing good to say about the Area that I am talking about, and customer service at the front and when you walk in the clinic to the left. They are very rude and disrespectful. The volunteers are somewhat friendly.
It just amazes me that a hospital in Texas would treat people with disabilities like this. Traumatic brain injuries.
The one person who caused all this is definitely making Scott and white in Temple look very very bad.
A Apology I guess is not going to happen ( that would be something that I definitely would)
Whatever happened to the Patient makes the hospital, or the customer is always right. I feel for others who are Veterans and have disabilities.
My Disability rights were definitely violated.. insulted.
So this is not what I wanted to do. ... BEWARE EVERYONE..
Our mother is in ICU on the 2nd floor of the towers. These night nurses have no respect for the patients or their families. They were loud talking and screaming to one one another in front of my mothers room. Non emergency here just laughing and cutting up and joking around. Then they are playing with a bed in the hall and crash it. No wonder have the furniture is broke if their moving it. Patients in ICU are here to heal and rest. They need quiet and nurses that are serious about their jobs. Not over grown kids.
