Went to Er tonight because my 3 year old son cut his head open and it was bleeding. We waited over a half hour for anyone to look at his head or take his vitals. Typically in any other hospital, if someone comes in with a head injury a nurse or CNA would take vitals right away and if they're busy you might wait if the patient is okay. I mentioned it to the nurse Rori in triage and she told me off, had an attitude and was extremely rude. The doctors at this hospital are competent, however the majority of the nurses and other staff are extremely rude, will walk around the lab with food eating near lab tests, and gossip about patients. This is the most unprofessional hospital I've ever been to, unfortunately it's the only hospital near our home.

This hospital SUCKS. They might be able to stop bleeding if you show up and have a scratch. But don’t trust them.

This isnt about quality of care, but the billing department. My sons visit was sent to collections - after NUMEROUS calls to the billing dept that the claim needed to be sent paper not electronic to Tricare due to an issue with Tricares system. They refused to send the claim via paper & kept arguing that he needed to be added to DEERS. I explained we pay for healthcare that is an extension of Tricare known as CHCBP but the coverage is still Tricare & not relevant to DEERS. I also explained that all it would take is Shands to call Tricare & ask for the CHCBP dept & Tricare would confirm all of this &so they could get paid as I had this same issue at other Doctors offices that was cleared up & paid on once the claims were sent via paper.
So now I will be disputing the charges to collections as they were wrongly sent &the hospital will be at a loss for payment for lack of laziness to send the claim appropriately.
