My father checked into this hospital and he never checked out. The staff did not tell him the severity of his condition and they talked down to us. There was no empathy.

I won't go elsewhere. These people have are so kind and loving and even helped me with my 9 month old daughter after I sprained my back. They are quick but they know what they're doing. The nurses will comfort you while you undergo pain. I love it here

I would like to share my disappointment regarding the laboratory at Sharp Coronado Hospital. I went in this week to have a series of blood work done which were ordered by my doctor. The following morning, I received a call from my doctor's office informing me that the blood tests are now "invalid" due to negligence of the lab using "expired" tubes. I was shocked to learn that this facility lacked the proper procedures when it came to handling their equipment and inventory. This created stress and was such an inconvenience for me. I was asked to return to the doctor's office to pick up a new lab order. Unfortunately, I now have to wait a few days before I can retest. This turned out to be a major setback. I do not place blame on the phlebotomist. However, there is a serious problem with the way this lab is run. I will not be returning to Sharp Coronado Hospital for any future lab services.

My mother came to San Diego from NJ for a 10 day vacation to visit with myself and my sister's family. On her 2nd day in Coronado she fell, fractured her hip, and fracture her foot. Was taken taken to Sharp Coronado Hospital via ambulance...paramedics were awesome. She was met in the ER by a welcoming team of nurses and docs. Dr. Warm oversees the ER and can be seen throughout the hospital. He even stopped by this morning before her surgery. We just can't stop raving about the staff here. Everyone is wonderful. Cater to your every need. You are made to feel special, like part of their family. It's obvious the doctors and nurses are so happy with their jobs as it shows in the care they deliver. Her orthopedic surgeon is Dr. Rynning. What a guy! The way he talked to mom and made her at ease was heart warming. Direct eye contact the entire time. For family and visitors there is fresh fruit, water urns with lemon/orange water, coffee, tea, and even Ice cream and pudding if you want. They also have a lovely homey cafeteria with a lovely outdoor patio. Thank you so much!
