As I was riding my bike South on Fox Road heading home, a security guard from this hospital ran me off the road causing me to scrap my knee and damage my bike! Upon asking hospital staff Jose refused to give his name and disregarded all my questions concerning the accident. The security staff need to learn more empathy and respect for all the patrons.

There was an hour wait due to other emergency issues but the service was excellent. They apologized for placing me in the aisle due all the rooms being booked. The doctors and nurses were attentive. I even had a cardiologist check up on me to make sure all was ok. The exit paperwork was quick and easy. Thanks.

Great Hospital. Saved my elderly mom's life twice in the last few years. They have valet parking, a great cafe and do a great job.

I was there last night for extreme vomiting due to possibly eating bad food/food poisoning. The nursing staff was very professional and cheerfully provided urgent attention. I was not impressed by the ER doctor. I believe if a patient shows up dehydrated vomiting out even pure water, he has a right to determine before discharge from ER that his stomach is now capable of retaining water taken from mouth and not vomit it back out. The only reason I had to call the ambulance and show up in ER WAS BECAUSE I WAS VOMITING OUT EVEN A DROP OF WATER I TOOK FROM MOUTH. The doctor ordered CT scan of the stomach and didn’t find any abnormalities in the scan. So he immediately discharged me, ha ha!! There was no way I could convince him that I want to sip water from mouth to see if my stomach would accept water by mouth and retain it in the stomach. He just wanted to either throw me out or admit in the hospital. This kind of ER doctor is strange to me. When the hospital would bill me thousands of dollars, the patient has no rights to see wether the problem for which he came to ER in the first place is resolved or not!!! Shouldn’t the doctor give attention to what concerned me the most?
It was also strange that when the hospital would foot me with a huge bill, it could not fulfill my simple need of a can of Coca Cola? I am sure the doctor knew that I was at the verge of passing out due to dehydration, but he was hard headed - having taken a decision to discharge me in his wide comfy chair, he blocked his head out of my main concern and simple request. I am very appreciate of the nursing staff but the doctor needs counseling and training to give attention to the main concerns of patients. Thank you!!

They really should have the option of negative stars because that’s exactly what this hospital deserves. Let’s see, my son was parked in the emergency room hallway for hours and hours; the unprofessional lady that takes the vitals was sharing a mental health patient information with me.... that is 100% unprofessional in any respect. Several nurses and vital checkers were making jokes and laughing about the mental health patient, the vital sign girl was embarrassed because she was trying to date a police office that happened to dropping another person off... well their relationship didn’t work out and she was embarrassed that he was here. Why in the heck did she even share that with me? Well because it’s the level of professionalism you receive at Sherman. It’s 2:50 am, I’m sitting on the floor while several employees are sitting in chairs right outside the room we are in. So happy I snapped pics of that. Hipaa laws exist for a reason... highly doubt your privacy is safe or the people working on you aren’t cracking jokes about your situation. Good luck
