My mom came here for an appendix surgery, the nurse was informative and kind, even the patients were talkative and nice. People sympathesize with you and are always willing to answer any questions you need. Since Stony Brook took over it's been a lot better then it was. Small hospital and some things are still outdated but it is moving torwards a direction that reflects signs of improvement.

Have been sitting in the ER hallway for 4 and a half hours still haven’t seen the doctor only got vitals taken be nurses assistant this place sucks pay over $1500 for an ER visit and see a doctor for less then 10 mins makes no sense the people need better service for the amount of money we pay there needs to be more then one ER doctor to help sick patients wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t urgent...!!!!

Worst hospital I’ve ever been to in my life. Staff doesn’t care about patients, is extremely rude, terrible service. Beware find another hospital!

Quality hospital care is an all too often, at the moment experience. Thankfully, my two stays here, I found exceptional care and a host of dedicated healthcare professionals. Both visits began via the Emergency Department. The area is sleek, clean, and immediate attention was provided. Tests were ordered and executed speedily, and bed transfer to the floor was not prolonged. Once admitted, excellent care was provided, and treatment was exceptional. Due to the brilliant efforts of the doctors, I was treated and by condition improved steadily. During my stay, I was visited by volunteers from the Hospital Foundation, Nutritionist, and Physical Therapist, among others. After a week, I was on my way home with greater insight into a diagnosed chronic illness and how to manage it. Regretfully, I failed to grasp how ill one can get quickly, and the Southampton Volunteer Ambulance transported me from town after I collapsed walking to my car. My second visit was just like the first — prompt attention and treatment and luckily, speedy discharge this time. While many think getting quality care only happens west of the Hamptons, I can attest, I received excellent care, treatment, and diagnosis and believe Southampton Hospital delivers exceptional healthcare consistently. I look forward to one day being a volunteer here and not a patient.

Long story short admitted needed surgery fast massive skin infection. Worst surgery I need to go have surgery again same area. They didn't get all the infection AS THEY TOLD ME. MAJOR ISSUE THEY DID NOT GET MY MEDS VARFIED UNTIL 1 HOUR BEFORE I WAS DISCHARGED (BTW TO EARLY I'M STILL VERY SICK) I WAS THERE MONDAY AFTERNOON UNTIL THURSDAY AM. AND I HAVE M.S. SO THEY REALLY MESSED ME UP. AND A NURSE NAMED ANI MADE SOME CRAZY ASSUMPTION I HAD MY MEDS W ME AND I WAS TALKED DOWN TO AND QUESTIONED AS IF GUILTY BY 2 PEOPLE AN 3RD FLOOR MANAGER HELPER AND THEN THE 3RD FLOOR MANAGER W 2 NURSES STANDING THERE UNTIL I SAID I HAD ENOUGH OVER 20 MIN. IS THAT ANY WAY TO TREAT A VERY VERY SICK PATIENT WHO ISN'T GETTING THEIR MEDS THEY TAKE DAILY??!! ALL THEY HAD TO DO IS CALL MY PHARMACY! IN THE END THEY DID I SUFFERED W OUT MY BACLOFEN, GABAPENTIN, TRAZADONE (SO DIDN'T SLEEP WELL, COULDN'T FEEL MY LEGS AND HAD LEG CRAMPS NON STOP) ALL BECAUSE NOT I PERSON CARED ENOUGH TO CALL AND VARIETY MY MEDICATION. WARNING.... DON'T GO THERE FOR ANYTHING SERIOUS!!! DRIVE TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL, I WENT BY AMBULANCE BUT I SHOULD NEVER HAVE GONE THERE AWFUL AWFUL CARE!!!! YOU FEEL LIKE A HUGE BURDEN AND IMPOSITION. I WAS MADE TO FEEL LIKE A CHILD IN SCHOOL BEING QUESTIONED BY THE VICE PRINCIPAL AND PRINCIPAL. 100 PERCENT NO GOOD DON'T GO. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF THAT WAS AN OPTION. GOING TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL TODAY. 102.3 FEAVER, DOING MY OWN PACING IN SURGERY AREA, CHEST PAIN FROM MRSA AND NOT HEALTHY. THEY ARE INHUMANE. GOT WORSE IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT. Good luck to you if you risk it your rolling the dice at Southampton Storybrooke hospital in Southampton.
