I'M ONLY EVEN GIVING THEM ONE SINGLE STAR BECAUSE THERE'S NO OPTION TO GIVE THEM NONE!!! HORRIBLE BED-SIDE MANNER TO MY 3 YEAR OLD. THIS DOCTOR COULD NOT HAVE CARED LESS AND IT SHOWED. WE LEFT AND WENT TO SAINT ELIZABETH'S, WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I WOULDN'T GO HERE IF THIS WAS THE LAST HOSPITAL ON EARTH. RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, AND SHOULD NOT!!!! BE HIRING DOCTORS THAT CLEARLY DO NOT WANT TO BE THERE AND SPEND LESS THAN 10 MINUTES WITH A LETHARGIC, VOMITTING TODDLER! DO. NOT. GO. HERE.

Saw Dr. Marshell in the ER today, he was great. Very attentive to my problem, past history. The whole experience was much better than I anticipated. Only complained is they don't have good signs for where to go outside the hospital.

Horrible. I went into the ER with my 10 day old baby who was having trouble breathing. They were rude at the desk and the nurses seemed annoyed I was there. The Dr Marshall came in and asked why I was even there and that I should just go home. I asked if he could at least listen to him and he did but said he was fine. He said as a DR he HAD to give me options of X-rays but said it was a waste of time. So we went home. We came back 12 hours later because the baby was getting worse and now had a rash covering his body and a fever .they rushed us to cardinal Glennon in an ambulance where we were treated with respect and they cared for my baby! I will not go back here. I will go to redbuds or cheaChe emergency room if I need to. They treated me like I owed them and I was wasting their time. I was the only one in the emergency room that night.

I don't even think the ER department at Sparta Community even deserves the 1star that I had no other option but to give. I've NEVER been so disrespected nor have I ever seen so many health care professionals be so unprofessional. Doctor Kathryn MacDonald and the nursing staff present that day was unbelievable shocking and a true disappointment. After going through a lab tech and 3 RN'S they were finally able to start an IV however It took 4 more attempts when it came to getting blood cultures. It was as if no one really knew what they were job duties were. They could be heard in the hallway putting down and taking about other patients that were currently being seen. Within several different conversations NONE of them were abiding by the HIPPA laws and patients privacy act laws. Instead of Dr. MacDonald entering my room addressing herself. She came in with her arms folded and said, "What seems to be your problem today" I'm very fortunate and blessed I'm not from this area and this isn't my local hospital. I was only in town visiting family over the weekend when a sickness came up on me and I had to be rushed to the ER. So now if I'm an outsider and I saw such unprofessional and disrespectfulness in the few short hours I was there. I can only imagine what the locals see and think. However something needs to be done! Dr. MacDonald has definitely lost her compassion and dedication when it comes to patient care. I definitely left with a bitter taste in my mouth!

Wasting precious time needed to prevent a stroke, providing a useless antibiotic. Go anywhere else.. Should be turned into a helipad for transport to a real hospital.
