Terrible expect to wait for hours , if any other people are there or not ... I moved here couple of years back and kids have went several times , every time three different doctors one old man was very rude , another Chinese man was the slowest and sloppiest person I've ever seen in my life and I parked close to the door not in the way of the ambulance to come through but one never did, because my child couldn't walk and the lady came out and said she would call the cops if I didn't move the truck when I moved it there because the 4 hr wait was almost over and we were signing out. , just plain pitiful place , period ...
My experience with Springhill Medical Center has been very positive. The staff is caring and professional. Having brought a friend of mine into the Emergency Room for a heart attack showed me just how professional and attentive the staff is. They stabilized my friend and then shipped him to Willis Knighton for surgery. The physicians at WK informed my friend that because of the staffs fast response he only lost 2% of his heart, which is great considering the situation. Thanks to the Emergency Staff at Springhill Medical Center my friend is alive today living a very active life. Thank you Springhill Medical Center ER Staff.
If didn't have to rate this hospital to write a review it wouldn't have a star!!!! Last night I took my granddaughter to the er for a high fever. The nurse that came out to triage should not have a job!! She was rude and very disrespectful not only to me but both of my granddaughters!!! I filed a complaint last night with the House Rep and I'm now waiting on a call from the Hospital Administrator. I will pursue this until disciplinary action is taken. It goes without saying that after a 3 hour wait I left the hospital! I've always heard Springhill Medical is one the worst hospitals around and now I know it to be true!!! I will never go back!!
Last year, this month, I was admitted as a "swinger" (those who treated me will understand this, lol). I was in the middle of antibiotic therapy for spinal and brain meningitis. It's a little late, but I have been busy trying to get my ducks in a row . . . What I want you ALL to know is that I so appreciate your efforts. There were so many good things about my visit: the staff, the physicians, the food, the professionalism, and especially the kindness. I especially want to thank Nurse Joe. I will always remember what all of you did for me . . . to help save my life . . (and their physical therapy department/staff is excellent)
Note: this rating DOES NOT include Reflections and Dr. Lionel Guillaume whom I give one star. . he is lucky I did not die under his care while he was trying to determine if I was "temporarily mentally ill or had always been". . . when, in fact, I was suffering from water on the brain after brain surgery and should have been transferred IMMEDIATELY to my neurosurgeon. Also, on a subsequent event in the ER, he diagnosed my leaking CSF from my nose and eye as a COLD. If you or your loved ones come before him in the ER . . . run, don't walk, to another facility.
