Ssm Health St. Mary's Hospital-Audrain

Everyone was very kind and helped me immidately. I am from out of state and caught the gastrointestinal bug while here! Which was lovely. But the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Very quiet hospital, the ones I am used to have a waiting room as big as McDonald restaurant and is always full, and the wait time can be unbearable. It’s nice to have a small town hospital. I’m very thankful. And feel better now!

I wish I could give zero stars. On multiple occasions we have went to this ER. My mom has a chronic illness and they can never diagnose her properly, have messed up lab/test results, cannot answer simple questions. It is absolutely ridiculous. No one that is employed at that hospital should be allowed to treat anyone. My friend who is a first year nursing student knows more than anyone in this dump. The nurses and doctors tell you two different things. They don’t even have common knowledge about OTC medications. I don’t know how it is still open. Do not recommend at all. I would sit on the side of the road and die before I let someone take me to this hospital.

Got such wonderful care here getting an MRI & was very nervous, becsuse I'm clastropic. The nurse was able to calm me, not easy to do. She was very compassionate & helped me with my shoes & getting on the table, making sure I was comfortable. Her kindness meant a lot to me, so hard to find nowadays. I also liked the hospital in general is decorated very nicely, very homey, I felt very comfortable.

Came into the ER for a migraine that had lasted two whole days accompanied by nausea and vomiting that had lasted a month or so and sat without any care at all for two hours while my head felt like it was going to explode and I had continued pain and nausea with no fluids, no help, absolutely nothing, after being unable to eat or drink at all for two days and experiencing severe and recurrent dizziness. It is illegal to refuse a patient emergency care, and I also feel as if I do not matter to these people at all. Would not recommend to anyone.

Thought when SSM took over this place it would get better but no luck!! Was in E.R. last night with back pain due from fall. Took the doctor an hour to even come see and then another 40 minutes to do x-rays. He come back in and said "well no broken bones". I ask about getting a C.A.T. scan to check my discs due to the fact I have already had a fusion and my doctor told me my next 2 discs could go at any time. They said no need for one....WHAT?!?!? I'm no doctor but if someone is in that much pain and nothing shows on a x-ray you would think they would investigate more but nope came in gave me another pain shot called me in a script for pain meds and sent me on my way Needless to say I will NEVER be back to this place nor will any of my family/friends. Not even our dog!! BEWARE EVERYONE!!!!
