Hours to wait in the e.r.! Seriously, what is an emergency room for? No patients were in any rooms. Nurses standing around talking about air fresheners. And it costs how much to sit and wait for no help at all? Lived here 30 years and it's still the same problems. Go to la grande and be seen sooner.
Traveling alone In my RV heading home to Whidbey Island Wa. I became sick with Pneumonia. Showed up in St Alphonse, Baker City ER. And was quickly diagnosed and admitted I knew no one in Baker City. What could have been a very frightening and lonely experience was just the opposite. From the time I showed up in the ER Monday until released on Thursday I was surrounded by such care and love. Everybody was so kind. They took time with me so I could hear a bit of their stories and I got to tell some of mine. This along with great medical care was so important to me. Can’t say enough about St Alphonse and that wonderful Baker City staff. You are Amazing!
I have lived in the community for 10 years. My third child was born at this hospital and my family and I have been through many ER visits, tests, treatments, inpatient stays and even an MRI scan at this facility. In all of these visits, we have been treated with compassion and excellent care through the entire process from check in to discharge and everything in between. This is a great team and a great hospital!
Very competent and friendly! Thanks for your help!!!
Husband came in with chest pain and shooting pain in left arm and arm keeps going numb they put us in the waiting room for a good hour then once we are in a room a nurse wants to know if he wants to ice it. Mellissa I think her name is. The doc finally comes in after a good almost 2 hours of waiting and says it's a muscular issue nothing to do with the heart so he says take Tylenol after telling him already took an ibuprofen 800.... if I could I give 0 out of 5 stars
