It could be better. Wait times are horrible and the receptionists can be rude. Only a couple though. Also doctors don’t want to actually listen to your symptoms. Because they’re doctors, they know everything that’s going on in your body, right?

Regarding internal medicine... The office expects patients to understand the staff's challenges more than they are willing to understand their patients challenges. As far as talking to a manager, like the other posts said, it get exponentially worse when you get to a manager.Lessons learned apparently.

My family and I have been to this hospital for various reasons from annual check-ups/testing to life-threatening illnesses that required a hospital stay for about 3 1/2 weeks.

The overall care my family member received during a long stay was good. The doctors are good... just difficult waiting to get updates and results was frustrating. There was an issue with a nurse that was not an employee but a contractor. I don’t believe they should allow nurses to be contractors - they should be a hospital employee. I never felt comfortable leaving my family member alone at the hospital and wasn’t able to feel that they would receive the care from the CNAs and nurses they needed without a member of the family helping out and being there almost 24/7. There are some great nurses and doctors there that deserve to be recognized for the level of care they offer. During difficult times, the care of a loved one isn’t something you should be concerned about.

My family had to go to the ER at this hospital twice.. We had horrible experiences both times. Despite that the hospital is only a couple of minutes from our house, we will not come to ST. Anthony's North again. It's embarrassing and a shame that this hospital cannot get the nursing and doctors staff to get together. It's a beautiful new building and we were excited to have a nice facility so near by.
The first time we took my son to the ER, we were not impressed. We were there for over 8 hours and we ended up walking away without answers. We thought it was just a bad day at in the ER, however the second time we went there with my husband's broken collarbone injury, we were shocked at the level of service and incompetence from the staff.

I would say that it is worth considering a different option if you are considering visiting the ER here. Our family will drive the extra couple of miles to a different hospital, we surely will not come back.

The staff is amazing. The nurses, housekeeping, the kitchen, and everyone else are caring, pleasant, and on the ball. I hope I dont go back but if I do I know I'm in the best place
