I took my baby in when he was sick awhile back. This was my first bad experience. They did a rapid strep test and it came back negative and we were sent home. They never sent it out to be double checked knowing darn well rapid strep tests are not always, if hardly ever, accurate.
Then recently I went in for itching all over my body. My Drs office never called me back so I was basically forced to go to er since I'm in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy. I told the ER "Dr", Eric leber(a physician assistant apparently) to check me for ICP..a maternal liver dysfunction that can leave a baby stillborn but who cares right??! This test would include, most specifically, a bile acid test, which is only performed in so many labs in the country, so it always has to be sent out. He claimed he did the bile acid test and it came back normal..while I was in there less than an hour. I called the lab the next day after reading and learning more from women who have this in their pregnancy. The lab said he never performed such a test and that they dont even have a way to test for it here. No one in butte does. Not even summit labs can do the test. They FedEx to another lab. The only test he performed was a metabolic panel and a bilirubin check. Hardly meaningful for someone in my potential situation. He's gonna regret his belief of 'ignorance is bliss'. One has to live by faith in this town and that hospital.
Also, its my personal opinion they discriminate against people in poverty that reside in low income housing. Not everyone in this town is on meth..sorry. Even child protective services recommended I write a grievance up against the triage nurse and the nurses in the back.
Dr. Osehr (however the spelling)seems good but shouldve used his own discretion on just how much radiation a child really needs instead of going with the opinion of a Dr that had never physically examined someone..in this case my son. Especially since he didn't agree with that Dr but felt obligated to go with it because it was my sons baby Dr at rocky mountain.
Its like they want people dead here whenever possible. You need to know what they don't think you know and what they dont know themselves, more then half the time. This also goes with that montana clinic. My current pregnancy Dr has contradicted too many things those people have said. He is an anaconda Dr and it seems to me that they're a better equipped town medically. Its worth the drive..even to their ER where things actually get done and you are not mistreated.
