Here getting a CT scan. The guy cleaning the floors is talking so loud I actually am getting a headache!! The staff at the hospital is also talking so loud as if no patients are here. Talking about other people and carrying on. Go to a bar people!! This is a hospital!! Show some respect for the people coming here getting medical help!

Was brought here 2 years ago when the police thought I was suicidal. (I wasn't.) The psychiatrist didn't talk to me to find out if I was suicidal, stressed out, or anything. He just prescribed 8 medications twice a day, including Lipitor for my diabetes. I wound up sleeping in my bed all day, with the exception of standing in line for meds, eating meals, and the 30 second talk with the psychiatrist each day. After a week, the psychiatrist asked me how happy I was on a scale of 1 to 10. I arbitrarily said 5, and he doubled my meds, telling me that would bring me up to a 10. (It didn't.) After 2 weeks I heard the nurse and doctor talking outside my door, saying Medicaid wasn't going to pay any more. Suddenly I was cured. If anything, I felt worse, but they decided it was time for me to go. I kept taking the meds for two weeks and slept for those two weeks. I had to stop taking them so I could function. I don't ever want to go anywhere near this place ever again.

I'm sure this place is good if you are going to get your blood taken and to check up on your every day health and what not. BUT....if you are going for things such as "Suicidal Thoughts" or if your in a crises....it's TERRIBLE!

I ended up stopping my psych medication and I had to go in the ER Psych center where there's tons of patients on beds with no walls just a certain. They WILL take your belongings away. Such as your CELL PHONE and WALLET which they will not tell you until last minute.

The nurses and Doctors act nice but for the most part you can tell they really do not care how you are feeling the longer you are there. They are just there for their pay check and that's IT.

They ended up putting me next to this guy who was NON STOP negative about every little thing. Complaining and complaining every single day. I got ZERO sleep. Was up for 5 DAYS! The only place I could go is the Bathroom and back to my bed.

They told me I would only be there for 24 hours. Turns out I was there for 5 DAYS STRAIT. Not even joking. All they tell you is they are sending you to a place called "Common Ground" which is in Pontiac...and those people hardly help you either. Most people are just sent home which is what happened with me.

The only decent thing about this ER is they will feed you some decent food throughout the day. But that's about it. I was going crazy just sitting there in my bed with NO TV, NO CELL PHONE and staring at the damn WALL the ENTIRE time..... You can't even listen to music.

Please from my experience....if you are having bad thoughts just call the Suicide Hotline or try talking to family. This is the last place you want to go. But if it's your last option....good luck to ya.

It wouldn't of been that bad if it was just for a night or 2. But FIVE DAYS that's where I draw the line. These people milk your insurance.

It is unfortunate how inconsiderate the nurses are on each floor. They are loud..talk about patients OUT LOUD ..they just never stop yelling across the floor to other nurses. Patients can't heal..because they can't rest. Please ..who ever reads this....speak to your staff about the YELLING and Talking with out caring how loud they are. Your nurses stations should quiet and considerate of patients in here.

My younger MINOR sister had her rights abused; and was threatened several times during the stay. A minor was called “manipulative” for requesting that a male nurse not physically touch her; because of her past of sexual abuse. He ended up; despite me telling change nurse, for him not to be there — coming in the room and calling it to her again, restraining her and leaving a bruise on her inner thigh. There is a lot more going on than this obviously, but she was a psych MINOR patient with PTSD. I ended up having to call 911; to get them to discharge her and send her to a different hospital. The new hospital, took photographs, and had to report this to the police and CPS. They also gave her medicine and kept giving her medicine I did NOT consent to. Non of this is OK. If your child is having a Pysch emergency, please do NOT send them here.
