I would give less if I could....
When sitting in lobby waiting to be brought to the back with my mother. The nurse sitting at the desk was so busy on his cell phone he couldn't be bothered. I told him someone needed someone needed to get to the back with my mom. She's non communicative, and hard of hearing. He argued with me that I didn't understand what was going on back there. I said, I understand that I need to be with my mother and demanded that he let me or my father to the back. He finally shut up and let my dad go to the back.
Brought in by ambulance at 3:30 a.m. it's now 6:43 a.m. and we've yet to have a nurse walk thru the door, much less the Dr. on duty.
Care for patients is all about the dollars now not the love of helping someone.
St Tammany your the cause of my mom's health issues to begin with and then your care for her now sucks.
We won't come back.
I do not recommend St Tammany Parish Hospital ER.

Never again
Went to this hospital as of my doctor's recommendation. The medical treatment and nurses are good but the whole hospital acts like they are on budget!
In the postpartum unit, moms and babies are given only what they need. Hygiene supplies are limited and when you run out and ask for more they tell you to go buy from the gift shop!!
Housekeeping is not as it should. They empty the trash and sweep and after they leave, the room is still dirty.
Changing sheets is upon request. You have to ask for it or it is not done.
The bottom line is that this hospital tries to save money but I'm sure that it will fire back

I was there for 9 days in the Cardiac unit and had the best nurses ever. They were caring and sympathetic. They would even come by after their shift was over to tell me goodbye. I will never forget them!! I was visited by many different Ochsner Doctors and that confirmed to me that everyone was in agreement with my prognosis and treatment. The food was good too. The only complaint I had was with the housekeeping. They never mopped the floors or dusted the entire 9 days I was there. I tell everyone how much I love this hospital and the great care I received. If needed I will definately go back. Thank you STPH!

I was in the ER about a year ago with a kidney stone (again). I was seen very quickly, treated, then allowed to go home. I was in enough pain to cry, but staff were very attentive. I recommend this hospital to all of my family.

Truly WONDERFUL staff!!! EXTREMELY clean!!! My Mom recently stayed in Room 287, I cannot say enough nice things about the nurses/nurses assistant that she had!!! They truly made her stay THE BEST...
