i really like the corporation of religion and health care. when i got surgery here it felt like god was watching over me like an angel sent from haven. they removed my entire prostate
I'm really surprised to be giving St. V's anything less than five stars, because at one point it was THE hospital to go to. I have a friend currently admitted for blood clots in his leg (clot was three feet long!) and lungs... so, kind of a serious issue. He's not someone going to the ER because he has a cold. He chose St. V's over Community because of their reputation for being one of the best hospitals in Indy, and while it certainly hasn't been terrible, it's just been kind of subpar. My friend, his mother, and I have had to repeatedly ask for things for him, because they aren't brought the first or second time. For example, his doctor ordered him compression sleeves. He received them 24 hours later, after asking probably six times. Most of the nurses on floor five are incredibly nice though, and the food is a vast improvement over Community North which is a pleasant surprise. Overall, not horrible but just not up to the standard I had assigned to St. V's in my head.
Why don't you try calling someone before referring an account to collections. Signed up for your portal to pay your damn $47 bill after I have paid my portion of over $3k without question and you can't even call someone or provide billing information. As someone with very good credit and someone that pays my bills I wouldn't step foot in your facility again you are completely worthless.
A family member who had no insurance, lost his leg, crushed hand, broken ribs and fractured him...was on a vent and several surgery's. After 3 surgery's in less than a week, night shift took him off all pain meds, his room had not been cleaned nor his bed changed in 2 weeks!! And will soon be sending him home. Due to the lack of inability to pay. The nurses were anything but compassionate, and didnt even make an effort to follow thru with the oath they took when becoming a nurse!!
They obviously have becoming so irritated with their jobs...that they forgett what their patients are going thru. I have a daughter and daughter in law who are in nursing. They said its embarrassing to them at the lack of compassion these nurses at st. Vincent Indy are. I would NOT ADVISE TAKING ANYONE THERE!
I was in a very bad accident a month ago on a road trip from Michigan to South Carolina with my friend. I was taken to St. Vincent hospital, only to be discharged within an hour and a half. I was told had no broken bones. After two days of severe pain, I went to a hospital in Michigan. I was told I had 3 broken ribs, a broken tailbone and a huge hematoma on my abdomen from my seatbelt. One of my nurses didn't even understand how type 1 diabetes works and was trying to refuse me my insulin. This is was beyond ridiculous and unprofessional. NEVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL.
