I just had my first appointment with Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Shook. My experience was wonderful. The front staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating, the wait time was not long. Best of all was NP Shook. She took the time to listen to and address all of my concerns. Her bedside manner was wonderful- she was kind, and funny, and she really cared. I get the sense with her that I am being well taken care of, and that all bases are being covered. She took the time to address each of many issues and I didn't feel like I was being rushed.
Honestly, I hadn't made an appointment for years in other locations I'd been in because I was afraid they would be awkward and unaccommodating. I haven't had great experiences with doctors in the past. I had to have a follow up...they got me in just a couple hours later and the Ultrasound Tech was funny and made me feel comfortable as well.
St. Vincent has taken great care of me and I've loved each of my experiences with them so far- but NP Shook has been a breath of fresh air and I am so glad for the recommendation to her.

Tried to make an appointment today for my annual visit 1st appointment was May 2019. Got told I should have made it last year at night appointment. Wish someone should have told me that last year!! A person with high risk for cancer (such as myself)could die by then. Guess it is time to find a new provider. This practice should consider a limit the number of patients they accept and start treating people like more than dollar signs.
