The P. A named Amy was horrible she did not care to even look at my file and cared less about my condition as she walked out on me two different times. She told me to put my phone down but she has neglected to pick my file up. There was laughter and from what the P. A told my mother the E.R was full which makes no sense even if laughter is medicine. Very few exceptions but this hospital is not what it was three years ago. Go to community Howard hospital you won't regret it.

The birthing center is a joke! Some nurses were awesome, but 95% of them were rude! Uniformed! And had a very bad lack of communication. I do not recommend anyone using dr Hockman. She is very unprofessional. The hospital tries to force you to stay and tells you That you have to stay. As far as I'm concerned if my wife and baby are healthy for 48+ hours we shouldn't be told we HAVE to stay. We are switching hospitals IMMEDIATELY would give half a star if possible this place sucks

Billing dept called and i missed the call,when I called back to pay my bill I was informed that i had reached billing but to go online to pay my bill. I think these people are rude!! called to pay the bill this morning and that woman was rude also,told me it was ok with her that she would send out an itimized bill because I requested it..Know your right,they have to produce itimized bills if requested they can not refuse that to any patient . I have went in the past to get "My" medical records copies and had to argue to get them..these are your records people you are entitled to them!! that time it took the 2 hours to produce 3 pages of paper. I will never go back to this hospital I will lay dying before I will ever go back!!

Staff is rude and uncaring. Nurses talk about and make fun of people. They think anyone who comes to the ER for pain related injuries or illnesses are drug addicts. Ridiculous waiting times. Look to spend 4-6 hours there for any ailment. If you are lucky. Just not a great hospital and staff is horrible.

My insurance was excepted. A month later I received a bill from physician for remainder of what insurance didnt pay. So now paying off 1.400 dollars. Never had this problem before. Thought if they excepted your insurance payment it was payed. Have been to howard community many times and never had this happen. My advice would be dont go to emergency room there.
