They have employed a criminal through ASA. He is a security guard there. He is on illegal drugs. They even gave him a gun to carry while on duty. He doen't have a gun permit or even know how to use one. This is a huge risk to the public. Don't feel safe just because there is a security guard there. I called human resources to report him but they still have not addressed the situation. He has also publicly threatened to murder my daughter. Back ground checks are a MUST! His name is Chuck Majors.

.My mother in law was in there for 7 days. Most of the nurses are lazy. I had to call the head nurse of the hospital to get the room properly cleaned. The nurses came in giving excuses and blaming the night shift for the uncleaned room. The nurses were standing around the station talking every time I came out of the room throughout the day. It would take hours for the nurses to bring her pain meds after we left. The dietary people were great. Some of the night shift nurses were also great. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place in the event that you need to go a hospital.

Visited the er today because i was in a car accident and was hurting. The nurse and staff was nice and caring up until i was walked to a window for my discharge. I’ve never had to pay a co pay for an emergency visit but then again i don’t usually use this hospital. The lady whose last name was Atkins told me my co Pay was three hundred dollars cool but being that i was in a car accident i just grabbed what i could put my car so i didn’t have my credit card nor my debit card. I asked her could i just get billed because i didn’t have my card she asked me what could i pay. I told her nothing because all i had was my ID and insurance card. She made a very rude comment telling me next time make sure i have my co pay. This really pissed me off because for one i came straight from children’s hospital from being with my son who was also in the accident to your hospital so my focus was getting help and making sure i wasn’t seriously hurt. I didn’t respond to her then because i just wanted to go to bed due to my pain but i’d like to let you and Ms. Atkins know that if i had known before i left home that i would be in a serious accident that totaled my car and left me and my child traumatized i would have grabbed my entire purse of the messed up car just so i would have my co pay like Ms. Atkins want. I’ve never used your hospital before and now i remember why. Please teach your employees what professionalism mean and how to apply it on the job. Not only was she rude but she made a comment to the chick next to her about me and was on a personal phone call when i first sat down .

Brought my mother in @9:45 a.m. with severe stomach pain was put in a room quickly and the nurse was good. Got meds and test then was told she is being admitted around 1:30p.m. Just now moving her upstairs to her room and it is 7:25p.m. Would this be normal for all hospitals or just St. Vincent’s East? Truly she would go somewhere else if she could.

If you want to live do not want to die do not go to this hospital. Im sure you could get better care at a 3rd world hospital. The doctors do not talk with each other about whats going on with the patient. Our doctor didnt even know our mother had certain tests run. We waited patiently all day to find out at 10.00 at night the doctor was not even going to show up. After 4days no one has even given us a care plan. Its so totally obvious there just bleeding medicare for all they can get. i will tell everyone i know about how bad this place is it needs to be shut down.
