St Vincent's East

My experience here was awesome. My surgeon Dr. Lee Schmitt was great too...the only reason I couldn't give a five star is because after my surgery was over, and I was back in my room, my husband was left in the surgical waiting room for a long time. I had been back in my room for about an hour and apparently no one had made him aware that I was back in my room. I had to ask where my husband was for someone to go and get him. So he was just left to sit there. I wasn't happy about that. Surely they knew I didn't come alone. Anyway, other than that, I was happy with my care from the doctor and nurses...

I tried to give 1/2 of a star based off of the lack of order. The signage is horrible, the customer service is terrible, the flow is just a convoluted mess. We opted for valet parking, the attendant was on her phone when we pulled up and didn’t even acknowledge our presence. I had to roll my window down and ask if I was in the right location. I was told that I was, and the attendant went back to her phone. When we entered the hospital, we went to the registration desk, we were told that despite the sign reading registration, we needed to register at the kiosk, which had no signage. After registering, we did as we were told, and went back to to the registration desk to stand and wait. After a while, we were told to have a seat and wait to be called. The remainder of the day has been a repeating cycle of chaos. The best part is we discovered that we are not alone. In one of the many waiting rooms we were ushered in, every patient had a similar story. My mother will be changing which hospital she uses, and possibly her doctor. This is an absolute disgrace.

This is a review for Imaging Services and Admissions. Radiology: Thank you to Crystal for directions, Stephanie in Ultrasound, Edith and Michael in MRI. You all were so kind and helpful!!! Big shout-out to Michael for helping me and my mom with directions when we crossed paths on the other side of the building! To the two ladies at at the sign-in desk in radiology, you are both so pleasant and helpful!!! Admissions: Thank you so much to Stephanie on the first floor and Brandy on the third floor! You ladies have great attitudes and were both so sweet and answered all of my questions!!! I am so grateful!!!

Best hospital!! Dr. D and the lady that gave me my EEG was marvellous. They both made me feel comfortable while finding out why I have seizure's. Wished I knew her name but so glad I chose St. Vincent's East!!

Extremely rude staff. For absolutely no reason at all the nurse Threatened to call security on me for simply sitting on the foot of my wife’s bed when she asked me to rub her feet. No one was in the room the curtain was open completely uncalled for. I will never bring my loved ones back to this dump of a hospital.
