Still waiting for surgery but the surgical staff seems nice. However, if I am just rating the admissions and pre authorization then it would be 1 star. They have been there biggest pain to deal with saying we owed money for the surgery even though we had met ALL out of pocket limits. Called 3 different days before the surgery and each day was disconnected, rerouted multiple times, told we would get a call back and finally after speaking to someone on the third day it seemed to be resolved. She didn't give me the"company answer" to everything... This is the most current insurance information and it's correct. She actually called our insurance and then called me back to say it was resolved and we owed nothing. All good right? No .. Show up to surgery and they tell us we need to pay again. We told them who we spoke to and they finally read the notes which said we didn't owe anything. Again, they kept giving us the company like... All the insurance info is correct. Well it can't be if they called and realized we didn't owe anything. Still having to resolve the previous visits bill... All while my husband is nervous as anything about this surgery. Completely RIDICULOUS and very disappointing how it's all been handled. I don't think I would want to ever come back if this is what we have to deal with to get a surgery done. They didn't even ask to see my husband's id when we checked in. Could be any one else at this point. Very frustrating.

All the staff in nice. The pharmacy works great with people. Parking does cost, but they also have Valet parking if needed. Food is actually pretty good in this hospital as well. God bless

Seen in the ER Once in the room Sophia & Jessica/ Nurses came to assist me. They didn't seem attentive. Information I provided for update was not inputted into system correctly I think Jessica was in training however I informed Sophia my I V was hurting in my right arm and she refused to check or take it out Not the type of treatment accustom to. Mary however came in later & was attentive and professional St Vincent has been the hospital I usually attend but the staff seemed less attentive to the patients. Also explained to them was experiencing dizziness and wasn't offered a wheelchair once checkout

Three week ago to the day I dislocated my right shoulder while visiting Jacksonville not far from St. Vincent's. I was taken there by a friend. I spent most of my time in the emergency room with some side visits to the imaging department. Every person I encountered treated me with respect, compassion and competence. And I was especially impressed by the person who was in charge of managing my pain and the attending physician who reset the shoulder. I could not have been more pleased with my treatment and outcome.

I have experienced countless incidents of poor care & service at St. Vincent's Riverside. As a caregiver for the elderly, I am disappointed with the way my clients were treated and neglected. One kept slipping because her "grippy" socks were put on upside down. Failure to remove or change dirty linens/gowns for over 24 hours happened more than once. Every time I approached the nurses' station, I was not even acknowledged for some time. My friend's husband died after a shoulder replacement. He complained of chest pain, but nothing was done. After only 36 hours, he was sent home....to die. There was no chest X-Ray or EKG performed before the surgery and he had clots in his lungs. I could cite more cases of poor care, but there is not room or time.
