I just wanted to give the biggest shoutout to everyone in Barberton Hospital same day surgery. I had the best care. Becky my pre op nurse was the nicest, kindest, politest and most beautiful person. Becky you are amazing and I thank you so much. Tami my post op nurse was awesome too. Everyone else that I came in contact with was very nice and they all do such a wonderful job. Thank you all.

I had to be transferred from Wadsworth here due to an emergency upper endoscopy for a food bolus. Dr Gellis and his team were very quick to travel in at 2:00am for this procedure. When they arrived, every single one had a good attitude. They all explained to me what to expect and made me feel comfortable. When I did arrive from the transfer, the emergency room staff was great and only had me there a very short time before taking me to the OR. I would feel good about returning to this hospital if needed.

I went to the er for eye pain and redness. I had a msjor infection. Doctor then said I had something on my eye. I told him it might be particles from tea and I could wash it off. I told him this is very dangerous especially since my eye is infected. Bacteria could get through and cause even greater harm to my eye. He denied everything I said and still scraped my cornea. He gave me some kind of a cream. Even tho I should have been given anti bacterial drops. He says I can go home then. He should have sent me to an eye doctor specialist instead. I go home and a couple hours later my vision starts becoming blurry and I start seeing on the same spot where he scraped my eye something white was forming. I immediately go back to er just to be told by the nurse I have pink eye and the doctor said that the white thing might be from the cream. I told them it looks like an ulcer because the doctor scraped my eye while it was under an infection and I wasnt given any anti bacterial eye drops to kill the infection which caused the ulcer to form. I then go to an actual eye doctor in akron city hospital and they tell me I have a severe ulcer and needs to be treated immediately. They were also amazed that barberton hospital didnt inform them about my severe corneal ulcer. I have been taking eye drops to kill the bacteria every 30 minutes, I havent slept in 5 days. If something happens to my eye, I have nobody to blame but the clueless staff in the barberton hospital. To me my eye is worth more than billions and trillions. Its sad that I might lose something so precious to somebodys inexperience and cluelessness. I dont want all the money in the world, I just want my eye to recover. Id rather be homeless or be the poorest person in the world and have both eyes than be the richest and be missing an eye. Your doctors put my eye into a very big danger and I dont think your hospital has doctors skilled enough to treat a patients eye therefore you're better off saying that you dont have eye doctors than say that you do and ruin someones eye/vision/life. Pray to God that my eye recovers otherwise I will want the whole world but thats not enough to make up for my beatiful eye.

The doctors and nurses are very attentive and make sure to keep you in the loop of what is going on.
