feedback about Takoma Regional Hospital
I went to this Urgent Care care three times in the span of two weeks, and feel that I WAS NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY. The first two visits were for care for an asthmatic bronchitis flareup (one for initial diagnosis/treatment the other for a follow-up). I was given a prescription of antibiotics instead of the typical steroids that I receive to treat it, and was denied a breathing treatment as it would have "raised my heart rate." (I have dealt with asthma since I was about 10, and I know how to treat my own asthma and its flareups.) The third was for what I thought was an initial sinus infection a week later, was told I had a virus (doctor did not specify) and I was finally given steroids, but progressively got worse and developed a horrible cough that would leave me gasping for air with each fit. I had to go to the ER nearby to finally feel better. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
Office people were great the doctor and nurses there should take notes from them the doctor was not helpful at all was a complete smart a** and was smiling the whole time when I upsettingly took up for myself to her very Judgey comments, very discrimative women.
Went in with an abscess tooth face swollen in severe pain and the doctor walks in looks at my tooth for two seconds and writes a prescription for antibiotics... I then asked if they would give me a shot of antibiotics and a steroid and he said they don't do that..and they don't give medicine for pain....the other urgent care did give shots of antibiotics and steroids and amazingly enough they would even give pain meds if you need it!!! They most certainly shut down the wrong urgent care ..first assist is a joke
Doctor Fox is so nice and takes time to see what is wrong. Been there twice in 2 weeks and saw him both times. Great person
Excellent experience... thank you for helping with my poison ivy!! Marcy is the best!
