I came in with excruciating pain, due to complications of gall bladder removal, from the day before. I was out of my head with pain, scolded by a doctor and nurse, told there was nothing to be done, that it was just nerve pain, and to roll from side to side, and breathe. The doctor told me to be quiet, that I was disturbing the other patients, and I was treated like someone just looking for pain pills. I got there very early, but my family was told that my surgeon could not be reached. They just assumed since I am under a Dr care for pain management, that I just wanted pain pills and treated me very disrespectfully . Even when I finally was given a room, the nurses were assuming I was an addict. When Dr Frano finally was contacted and got there, she took me back to surgery and drained a lot of blood. Nobody was paying attention to why I was there. They just didn't want to help me, but my daughter and husband intervervened. Very shoddy service from start to finish. Even the ambulance attendants did not seem concerned and I pretty much was ignored by them. I was blamed for my condition by the staff on duty that morning, and by the nurses who were supposed to be taking care of me.
