Easily the best hospital I have ever been admitted too. I always dreaded going to the hospital than I experienced the positivity and actual interest the staff had here at Harris Methodist hospital. I was constantly having my vitals monitored, and being ask a question that’s worth a million bucks “can I get anything for you”? From the ER to the 5th floor y’all get 5 stars if I could give more I would.

Came to ER with my mom and the care was good. Once admitted and transferred to her room it went downhill fast. Everything moves slower than a snails pace and my mom’s condition is life threatening. Still haven’t seen the main doctor and the surgeon who came by over an hour ago still hasn’t put in the orders for what he said she needed. I’m going to line up an attorney just in case. Do not recommend except for ER. I’m from out of town and am hoping the people of Fort Worth have better options than this.

Update: Everything turned out okay. The hospital staff was nice and so was doctor when he finally showed up. Problem there is severe lack of communication and being short staffed on doctors. It was a harrowing experience.

If I could give this place a zero I would. What the staff calls the "jet room" in the e.r is a great way to spread all kinds of illnesses and diseases. From the looks of they just made it easier and lazier for the staff. They do not care that a patient is sick and can spread to the person right next to them with he way they have so many chairs right up into each other in this room. Doctors and nurses is awesome. But the whole "jet room" makes me regret ever coming to this e.r. I will not come here again.

The care that I received from the ER staff, as well as the doctorsand nurses after I was admitted from the ER was impeccable - my nurses and PCTs were all wonderful professionals. Caring staff, very kind. My -1 star is for the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of my room. It just didn't look as if it had been deep-cleaned in quite sometime. I had my husband bring Clorox wipes from home to wipe down surfaces and when housekeeping finally came all she did was empty trash; she didn't change my blood-stained linens or wipe down any surfaces. No complaints regarding the medical team and the care I received, but I think a clean, sanitized room and fresh linens are minimal.

My L&D experience at this hospital couldn't have gone better! I had a horrible induction experience at another hospital with my first child and was terrified to come in when my water broke without an onset of strong contractions. But the staff here was calm and respectful and allowed me to labor on my own as comfortably as I liked without any unnecessary interventions, only what was needed to keep myself and baby safe. I did not feel at all pressured or rushed to get the baby out. Dr Manning broke the rest of my forebag with my consent to speed the process along, and my nurses were all extremely attentive and polite. No one pushed an epidural or pitocin until I was absolutely ready, and kept both at a very minimal level so that I could still feel in control of my body and present for my child's birth. My labor had a small hiccup when my baby flipped during transition and his heart rate dropped. Absolutely no one panicked! I immediately had two doctors along with several nursing staff in my room. They calmly checked my cervix to see that I was at an 8, placed me on oxygen, flipped me over without a blink, rubbed baby to stimulate him while simultaneously explaining every step of the process in raising his heart rate and reassuring me that everything would be okay. No one called OR, suggested a cesarean, or showed any lack of confidence and it was exactly what I needed to keep calm until his heart rate climbed back up. The staff kept me in the most optimal position to avoid tearing or tail bone injury, and were incredibly encouraging when it came time to push. I was so afraid to have a hospital birth after my last baby, but I can honestly say that was hands down the most beautiful labor and recovery that I could have hoped for in a hospital settling. My husband and I got to cry happy tears this time, and I am so thankful for that! Thank you L&D team, you guys are amazing!
