I would definitely recommend this hospital. I didn’t have to wait long at all, maybe 15 minutes even though they said they were very busy that night. The officer outside walked us all the way into the emergency room and showed us exactly where to go. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The doctor explained everything that was done and why. I was very impressed.

My sister almost gave birth without a doctor present due to him being late. This was an emergency C-section btw. When he came out to “congratulate” the family, he had no idea how much the baby weighed, or even looked like. (He told us she was bald when she had a thick head of black hair.)
This has been a terrible experience and I’m posting this so someone can see this and stay away.

Amazing!

I came in (I’m still here actually) for a variety of symptoms that ended up being gallstones. My ER wait was about an hour, and I waited another 5 hours in a room at the ER while running tests to discover what was wrong....

In that time though, the nurses and doctors were helpful, completely dealt with my agitation over the situation and my sarcastic mouth. Only once did I feel like a doctor was condescending towards my attitude but after second thoughts I realized she was being professional and informative, not rude.

I’m now in the main hospital, in a room, the patient tech, Karmen, was sweet and polite, and the nurse Vicky was understanding and helpful.

It’s a hospital, it’s not a 5 star resort. I am receiving great care though.

My daughter went there with severe pain in her abdomen. They saw her quickly and put her in a room, asking several questions and deduced they thought it was "female" related. They did do an ultrasound of her belly. They did not hook her up to an IV. (Which I thought was the first thing they do in an ER?) At one point the doctor came in, said they didn't see anything and asked her "What did you want me to do about it?"

We both felt like because it was female problems, and not "real" problems, they just wanted to kick us out and get rid of us. They weren't busy, we weren't taking a bed that was needed by someone else - they just didn't want to deal with female issues.

Going to an ER is not cheap, and our insurance is essentially non-existent (high deductible and doesn't kick in until it's paid - we do get the "negotiated rate" though.) So if we thought the pain was bad enough to spend the evening in the ER and rack up such a huge bill - the least they could have done is taken us seriously.
