Texas Orthopedic Hospital

I’ve had 2 family members have surgery here and both experiences turned out wonderfully. It is ran like a well oiled machine. The entire staff from the world renowned surgeons, nurses and support staff deserve every bit of recognition they have received. If you or a family member are needing to find top notch, excellent care I would highly recommend Texas Orthopedic Hospital.

We were very impressed and pleased with the entire staff at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Even the cafeteria staff who personally come to your room to discuss your dining options and special needs. We also want to give a huge thank you for Dr. Burke and his wonderful staff. From the very beginning of pre-op, my husband and I were treated with respect and total support in a stressful situation. Surgery is never fun but having a team starting with check in that is friendly and helpful and ending with the nurses helping into the car who all made sure my husband and I were taken care of well, relieves at least a little of the stress. Great experience. I can’t say enough good things about the every staff member from the front desk security guard to the nurses to the doctors. I feel like the best thing I could say to convince you that I had a stellar experience is that this is the Chick-fil-a of orthopedic medical facilities.

This most be the GREEDIEST hospital in TEXAS! Got a billed $1,272 for a Dr's visit and an additional $922 for a lower back MRI + X-ray(the MRI machine sounded like an 1890 locomotive). I'd asked upfront for an initial cost before scheduling the MRI, was told my insurance covered everything. I could've paid ~$400 for an MRI elsewhere. No treatment received yet for all those charges.... I've an excellent insurance policy!!!

My mother was supposed to have surgery here but was denied because they want you to pay your entire deductible prior to your actual surgery. I have not heard of such a practice but even after reading this hospitals policy to confirm this practice it would have been nice if at the very least they would have informed her about that prior to us driving down there with her Hopes up only to be turn away for not having several thousand dollars with us which is really upsetting.
