My mother was supposed to have surgery here but was denied because they want you to pay your entire deductible prior to your actual surgery. I have not heard of such a practice but even after reading this hospitals policy to confirm this practice it would have been nice if at the very least they would have informed her about that prior to us driving down there with her Hopes up only to be turn away for not having several thousand dollars with us which is really upsetting.
Best care ever! For knee replacement surgery this is the place. Cafeteria food is awesome. Free coffee everywhere. Every staff member I've dealt with from check in to check out has been kind, helpful and very professional. Thanks TOH for taking great care of my dad. He now can walk without pain.
I've been at this hospital twice with my husband for joint replacements. We love our surgeon and that is the only reason we come to this hospital for surgery. If the surgeon would give us another hospital option, we would take it.
This is an older building. The waiting room for surgery patients and family is the worst we've ever seen. It's small and crowded. There is no comfortable furniture, no tv, no decor to ease the stress of surgery. Don't bring children to wait with patients because there's nothing for them to do.
They have all surgical patients come to hospital at same time, like a cattle call, then they all wait for their time of surgery in the uncomfortable waiting room. We've never seen it done this way before at any hospital.
We do love the staff and our doctor, but not the building, waiting area and the way they have you wait 2-3 hours for surgery.
My husband was diagnosed with a rare bone disease and our experience with all the staff we encountered during our journey through surgery, overnight stay, to checkups and casting has been amazing. Dr. Bennett and his nurse Susan have made everything about the process a breeze. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.
In an age where "customer service" has disappeared....TOH is a shining example of what it looks like. EVERYONE I had contact with was warm and welcoming. I felt safe, secure, and well taken care of.
Dear Management: please keep taking care of your employees! They are awesome!!!!
