My dad was at this hospital about a month ago as a critical patient. The nurses in the ICU were amazing and very caring. They made him/us feel very comfortable and made sure all of our questions and concerns were addressed. This is a great hospital! Thank you to all the nurses and doctors that took care of my dad till the end.

If you ACTUALLY have a heart problem, they are probably great. If you show up to their ER just THINKING you have a heart problem, they are great... right up to the point in time that they figure out it's not actually a heart problem. Then their attitude immediately turns to "get them out of here quick". My wife was rolled out into the hall once they figured out it wasn't her heart and sonogram showed it was a gall bladder attack. They were going to send her home with 204/108 blood pressure, saying it wasn't a "life threatening or admissible condition", that is until I raised a stink about it. I understood the admissible condition part. I didn't understand trying to discharge her before getting her blood pressure under control. I've dealt primarily with BSW facilities in the DFW area and up until now, they have all been outstanding. But this place... heart attack or no, I think I'd rather chance it myself somewhere else. If these people have some specialty that I actually need, then let me be transferred here. Oh, on a positive note, kudos to the two nurses that never changed their attitudes and were helpful throughout. Too bad that didn't translate to the rest of the staff.

I have heard so many good things about this hospital, but our service has been terrible. My mom checked in yesterday for a day procedure on her heart. Her doctor was phenomenal, but her surgery was scheduled for 2:30, and she wasn’t taken back to the operating room until almost 7 o’clock that night. We have been waiting at the hospital since 11:45 that morning. The postponed surgery led to her having to spend the night. The nurse told her that she would be charged discharged between 10 and 10:30 o’clock AM. At 10:32 I came down to get my car so that I could pick her up. It is now 12:01, and the nurse still has not brought her discharge papers yet. So, that is a total of 6 1/2 hours we spent since yesterday waiting without any exclamation from anybody. We would’ve certainly understood if there was an emergency. However, there was no explanation We have renamed this hospital the waiting hospital. That’s all we’ve done is wait. So disappointed in this hospital.

I want to thank all the people who cared for me between 8-22 and 8-24. I went to the hospital thinking I was going to have tests done and ended up with a heart cat and a pacemaker implanted. To say the least I was scared. EVERYONE was so kind, calm, patient and caring. My doctors were fabulous , Srinivas Gunukula and Maria Viqar. My anesthesiologist whose name I cannot remember, held my hand and calmed my fears. My unending gratitude goes out to all the unsung angels, all of my nurses, techs, aides, food staff, everybody! I give thanks to you daily . I hope all hospitals have staff that are as professional and compassionate as the people at Baylor Scott and White Heart Hospital.

Amazing hospital! Family member had open heart surgery and we couldn’t have been in a more competent and caring facility. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and always eager to go above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable as possible. We are all so grateful for the immense amount of compassion shown to us by everyone from the parking staff outside to when you walk in the lobby. We are always met with a smile and warm welcome. This is an amazing facility and we couldn’t recommend it enough!
