The nursing and O.R. staff are awesome. Everyone was so kind and hospitable. I've had several surgeries here with overnight stays. This is a great Surgery Hospital.

I don't understand why their scheduling is so difficult. My doctor put me down for a surgery at this hospital 2 weeks ago. My surgery is set for Monday, the 10th. I have already called and asked for my arrival time since I haven't heard from anyone yet and today is Friday. I was told they don't have their list yet to start calling patients. I asked when they leave for the day and they said 5pm. It is now 4:55pm and they still have not given me my arrival time for Monday. I also had to find someone to take me to and from this surgery so this person is already losing a day's pay at work to take me to and from this surgery. But now it looks like they requested this day off and missed a day's pay for nothing because no one can give me an arrival time !

Very pleasant staff, complimentary snacks and they have cozy waiting room with cool programs on instead of just the news or soaps (Price is Right, HGTV, etc). They even give you warm blankets and crossword puzzles while you wait!

Definitely not Top ranked in my book... I was no given my arrival time until 15 hours before my procedure. I also was never given an address or told where to go. I had to Google "Tops" because that was all they told me when they called. Two days prior to my procedure, I spent over an hour on the phone going over my medical history. Once I got to Tops to be checked in, I was given the paperwork to review. Some of my medications and medical history were wrong and the information was crossed out and I had to rewrite it in to be corrected. Then I got called back and it was never updated in the system. I had to go over all of it with the nurse all over again. I went in for a procedure I have had done multiple times and am given MAC anesthesia so I am aware to let the doctor know if I am feeling anything in my back that I shouldn't (with my previous doctor who is currently moving his practice). I was given general anesthesia and was not given an explanation why. The doctor never came in to tell me how I tolerated the procedure or why the anesthesia needed to be changed. I was told not to heat my back by the nurse because it would destroy my steroid injections. I wasn't there for steroid injections, I was there for a radio frequency ablation. I have no idea what happened to me and was not sent home with any paperwork stating what happened and at home care. This will be my first and last procedure at Tops and until the issue of communication can be resolved with my new doctor, he will not be performing any more procedures on me either.
