Very judgmental and rude staff. After 3 horrific experiences, two which nearly killed my son we will never return. Physicians Assisstant's are not doctors and should not be handling emergency situations without oversight. And Tammy Thurston whom is relative by marriage that does not like me, had made it impossible for anyone in my immediate family to receive appropriate care. She needs to keep her personal life and opinions out of our medical charts.

Been a good hospital to my kids, overall. However, I had an experience with an ER physician when I took my daughter with fever there one night. He came in once briefly saw her and told me he would order urinalysis for the girl. The nurses came and unsuccessfully tried to get urine via catherization. My daughter, 2yrs, could not permit the nurses to get the urine. I waited for the doctor to come back and at least explain to me what others options were available o(even though I know the approach to a febrile pediatric patient) or just talk to me. But he didn't turn up. After a while, a nurse came and discharged us giving me instructions to give my daughter acetaminophen and do follow up with her doctor after 2days. I could have left home and just done that. As a doctor, myself, I will talk to the parents even for a minute, and calm them. But this the doctor failed to do......probably never cared if we had concern......or my daughter would have febrile seizure home. As doctors, we have responsibilities to our patients irrespective of our engagement.

Went in with difficulties breathing, weakness, and nausea they did a flu screen (negative) and a chest x-ray I positive for pneumonia later on that day I was back in the er with chest pain, high fever, nausea, vomiting up my antibiotic, and delerium, light headed and dizzy spells, the doctors acted as if I was diseased and couldn't wait to get me out they gave me a oral antibiotics in the hospital which I had a bad reaction to they then gave me something for my stomach and a morphine shot and sent me home, all while not being able to eat or drink anything in 4 days which they were aware of I was malnutritioned and dehydrated. I suffered all day yesterday with the symptoms worsening I went to mercy in Iowa City and they did another x-ray the pneumonia spread they gave me a antibiotic via IV along with a bag of fluids breathing treatment and nausea meds today I can stand and walk around and I can actually eat and drink. The statement Muscatine tried to kill me was probably almost true your body can only go three days without water before organs start to damage and shut down. Next time I'm sick I'll just make the hour drive to Iowa City.

Took my mother in to the ER yesterday. Short wait time. Excellent service by registration staff, nursing staff, and physician. Was seen by James Hines, PA. Was probably the nicest and most caring physicians I've ever met! My mother was admitted. Nursing staff were wonderful...especially Shelly! Facility is so nice and clean. Lucky to have such a nice local hospital! It has made many positive changes over the years!

This hospital has ignored what happened whith my son Christian who was stripped of his clothing when I was not in agreement to it and still had it done with out me being the room. They also falsified information on his medical records and declined to treatment and was held whith out a court order against me and denied due process to go to the hospital of our choice for his medical treatment. This hospital has allowed HIPAA violations to be ignored and altered. Yes,I'm going to be calling the d.o.j. Before I hand this facility subpoena orders for them to understand what they're oath states in there POLICY and the laws of the state are. My sons death was the result of this outcome and they are okay with it.
