feedback about Uhhs Richmond Heights Hospital
I found the ER docs and nurses to be top notch along with floor nurses, doctors, interns, aides, porters, radiology, pharmacy, and dietary personnel. They were kind and compassionate with heart felt compassion. They were devoted to getting me better. Highly recommend!
The professionalism of this institute is unbearable . I was half an hour late to my appointment due to the fact that the medical receptionist is not familiar with her own facility (radiology) . Then when referred to obstetrics , across the street, which was not the correct place, the women laughed in face in reference to the previous women, who gave me useless directions. Aside from almost coming across the counter on the women, I found the suite I needed to be in, only to found out that the appointment office didn't open til 9am , (my appointment was at 8:30am). All I have to say is when someone comes to hospital or doctors visit , all they should have to worry about is their condition . Not if they can break a sweat before arriving to the doctor's office.
I am here on Saturday, October 27th waiting in the lab at 9:11a to have them draw blood on my mom who's 86 years old. When we got here a gentleman had to open the door to let us in. The guy at the desk says on Saturday that door is locked, you have to come through the emergency department. Why would you have people come all the way around the building when they can just walk in this door? That is so dumb.
I came here September 2016. I felt comfortable here. There were not too many other patients. The therapy group was great. I came here with a fully wrecked mind. The other patients were nice to me when I was high and low. There was an older male counselor that was so nice to me, he let me dance to the radio, and we had a dance party even though the music I wanted wasn't there. He made me feel at peace. Now, you're not gonna get along with every staff member, but make the most of the staff you are comfortable with. Another patient kept me occupied while I was angry, so I thank her for teaching me the coping skill of making lists. Overall, the atmosphere was very relaxed. There was a male nurse that I felt comfortable with and he made me feel safe. He gave me meds. There was also a CWRU intern there that made me feel calm when I was hearing voices. I had to take this long survey, and I sort of made it awkward for the visiting student nurse who was with me because I couldn't play music without lyrics so I turned it off. I feel bad now. I have nothing wrong with her. Just wanted to take the survey on my own. I didn't like that we couldn't go outside, but I realized that if you do go outside, there'll be mostly smokers. Just go to therapy and hang out with the other patients and you'll be fine.
Had outpatient surgery. Surgery unit was very nice, as well as all of the doctors, nurses and staff. I was very nervous, but they all went above and beyond trying to help me relax...before the drugs! It is an older, smaller facility, but that did not hinder my experience, and the are going through renovations. I would definitely recommend this hospital, and have any other procedures that I may have to have there again.
