It's your typical small town hospital, but it's very clean and cozy. The staff is wonderful with their patients and their guests. The ladies in the gift shop are sweet as can be.

I went in for emergency medical treatment on Christmas Eve. I live in Vernal Utah. The bill for Vernal for the Emergency Room was $3,000. The bill from the Uintah Basin Medical Center Emergency Room was $300. And I received much better care. Courteous and kind staff with true compassion. I now say that I would rather bleed out on my way to Roosevelt Utah, then be taken to Ashley Valley Medical Center in Vernal Utah. I mean every word.

I love my general doctor I see, but I absolutely HATE this hospital. Their billing is an absolute nightmare. I've had them completely not bill me for something until several weeks or even months have passed. I've had a bit of an issue with one of the OBGYNs, as he was not helpful for what I saw him for. I've heard of DOZENS of other people who have had major issues with this hospital, and multiple doctors here. I have been to the ER in the past with issues of not being checked on/helped while being the ONLY person in the ER, and multiple staff members hanging around. Kind of annoying to wonder if I will be allowed to get help to breathe or not. Several years ago, my uncle was diagnosed with one of the most rare and aggressive forms of bone cancer. The hospital took longer than they should have to return the results. Had they called, maybe we could have had more time with him before he passed away. I've had issues with them not calling back with test results more than once myself. I literally never get the call. I have to call them and ask them what my results were. I refuse to go to this hospital unless I really, truly need to see a doctor. I have been to MUCH better hospitals. I may transfer to the Vernal Ashley Valley hospital/clinic. I do not recommend this hospital/clinic.

Worst experience of my life. My first baby and they messed up my spinal, kept me awake for the entire thing. I felt everything 10 mins into the surgery because the anesthesiologist "made a bad judgement call" and didnt put me to sleep. He just kept shooting me up with morphine, which caused my heart rate and blood pressure to go everywhere. Then, they had my husband hold down my right wrist while the anesthesiologist held down the left, and sewed me up, and cardorized me. The worst part was when they took my uterus out and set it on top of me, flushing it because I started to hemorrhage and pushing my intestines up because they didnt want to take them out too, it felt like I couldn't breathe. The hospital was just horrible. They accidentally gave me 5 uterine massages, didn't have pain killers for me out of surgery, took them an hour and a half to get them. They backed up my catheter three times, turned off the wrong machine, so my blood clotted the IV, lost my antibiotics and pain killers, so they kept trying to repoke and couldn't get one, blowing 2 veins. It was beyond ridiculous, I was so happy to get out of there. They had to finish my antibiotics by putting shots in my thigh.

This clinic has one of the worst billing departments I have ever come across. They send out statements and group charges together so that you have to figure out which charges match to which explanation of benefits claims. This is like having a checking account and the bank adds all of your hand written check together and puts them on one line called "Checks for the month". I called to complain about the level of detail on the statements and the billing department has no interest in fixing because they can see on there end what they did and it make sense to them. For us on the other side that cannot see how they split the transaction it is a real pain to decipher. On top of the billing problems there service was not that great. The employees were not friendly and the wait time was far to long for any treatments I or my family have had there. Save the time and hassle and go to another clinic.
