Was a very attractive hospital mostly used for day surgeries & was the location for Dr Now Zara fan's tv show My 600-lb Life. Is in bankruptcy, closed for 1 year & reported as such but Google won't update it because they say they can't confirm it.

Understaffed and not at all able to provide safe care for the procedures I had. During my second stay my room thermostat was broken the entire time and my room was 67 degrees during my entire stay.

Vitals machines are held together with tape. Tv's don't work properly if at all. The kitchen is picky with your order and the menu never changes. I only had my procedures done here because I had no choice but you would think for the $5000 they charged me just to use the facility for the day of the surgery not to mention the cost of the 3 extra days I spent here recovering they could do a little more to ensure better patent care.

The staff was very friendly but whoever is managing this place should be fired. 👎🏻I do not recommend this hospital at all. if you can avoid it.

I don't love University General Hospital at all!! This hospital murdered my Mother . They took out her body parts without family consent. They are killing the elderly. And cutting off legs , arms, and taking out body pats and selling them. The wound care doctor G , runs downtown to judge Wood when he can't get his way. Judge Wood grants him power to kill your parents, while Attorney D follows suite to protect uneducated dr. G . And the state takes control over your parents when you have legal rights to your parents. My parents was being injected with a drug to make her sick and unmobile not to walk. These doctors here in Texas has the law so sewed up that all Attorney's don't want to handle any case. Many attorneys are afraid of loosing everything that they have ever worked for pertaining to their careers. Why? Because many attorneys are being bullied by TX state attorneys like attorney D. Stature of limitations only give you 2 yrs to try and settle your case against any Medical Malpractice case in TX. That's not enough time. When you loose your parents it's takes about a year for some people just to get it together and go through your parents belongings. As a result to my parent's death, several of the insurance policies were rejected because of the lies that representative attorney December along with judge Woods lies reported on paper. This is not the full entire story. Just bits and pieces of the story. But enough for Houston citizens and People Around the World including PRESIDENT OBAMA can understand just what's going on in the State of Texas. The Hospital had to change it's name from University General to F Foundation Surgical Hospital of Houston. To think that this hospital would hide it's true identity behind Houston. We as valuable people of Houston, TX and other States should not continue to lie down and let Hospitals, Certain Doctors put us or our families at risk of dieing just because you want to dismiss a doctor from butchering your parents, after being injected with some deadly chemicals that you know triggered the beginning of their deaths. Nurses need to speak up when they know that something is not right.

Staff at University General Hospital are amazing - especially in surgery and recovery! I have only been admitted once here (through the ER) and they staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating to my many needs.

I would highly recommend this facility to any doctor or patient. Truly top notch!

I had surgery in June 2006 when it was a new hospital. The room in the hospital was great and the nursing staff was all wonderful. My surgeon was Dr. Henry Small. I really believe after a year of chemo in 2004 and then a fall in 2005, I would not be active today had it not been for Dr. Small. He said he would not have been as good without that operating theatre Foundation provided.
