University Hospital & Clinics

It's a large hospital. They have handicap parking and bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. They've put in new chairs and TVs for when you're waiting. The wait time is short. They have a cafe. They have specialists.

I presented in the ER with what would be diagnosed as heart failure after test results were complete. A new diagnosis to me. I was scared and confused as I had no idea I had heart issues. I was treated very very well from the start with compassion and thorough explanation of what needs to happen for me to improve. After first arriving and explaining my symptoms everything was timely; EKGs, blood work, Chest X ray etc. After texting was complete, I would unfortunately have to be admitted to the hospital, but there were no rooms available, the hospital was full. All the local hospitals were at this time. I had to stay in the ER, but they went out of their way to make me comfortable. They switched out my bed to a regular more comfortable hospital bed without me asking and Tried to fix it up like a regular room. They attended to any needs promptly while trying to get me a room. On the telemetry floor I continued to get excellent care from ALL the staff. Drs, nurses, CNA,s housekeeping, were all pleasant, caring and compassionate. I would definitely choose this hospital again. The changes from years ago are very positive.

I have waited 3 days for them to call my medicine in to my pharmacy. Went to see her on Monday & today is Wednesday at 3: 15 and i still dont have my meds . Im very disappointed. When you call they dont answer ,it says they will call you within 24 hours. Well one did caall me today at 130 & said she sent my meds in. ,its been 3 hours & my meds are still not at my pharmacy. Really disappointed & they say this place has changed.

Even if you don't have medical the doctors still do there job

Wouldn't go anywhere else. Great surgical teams!
