This place is gracious and I can't stop talking about the staff the hospital even though the great portions of food for cheap.

UIC Hospital is a great place to have a baby or have any kind of procedure done very educated people who give a damn.

I love the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System! When I moved back to Chicago in early 2017, I was first attending the University of Chicago Medicine, but after a few billing and medical errors, I decided to transfer my care to UI Health. I was definitely not disappointed. I was trying to get the work up completed for a kidney transplant evaluation when they discovered Stage 1 breast cancer in my right breast. Immediately, they took the necessary testing and procedures to treat the problem. I have been treated with the utmost care, respect, kindness and professionalism while I have been both an in-patient and out-patient client. The doctors and nurses are very knowledgeable and caring, and everyone works as a team. It is the best organized hospital I have been to, and I have been to about five hospitals on my healing journey. I highly recommend UI Health and Hospital Systems.

Don't go to pervert Dr. Warso for any skin cancer screenings because he takes all the pictures with his special machine while making nasty perverted comments because I had to stand in all these contorted positions naked to take pictures of the moles on my body and he's commenting on my choice of underwear, etc. Then he can't even send the results over to Dermatology when the machine clearly pointed out over 20 potentially cancerous moles, which doesn't matter because Dr. Tsoukas in Dermatology is more interested in Botox then Melanoma. Also, Dr. Warso decided to change a lymph node biopsy into a thyroid biopsy for no reason because I have 2 hard lymph nodes and no one said anything looked suspicious about my thyroid. Then because I am on the operating table still thinking I'm getting a lymph node biopsy is when the doctor said no, Dr. Warso ordered a thyroid Biopsy and it is a murder biopsy. Do not ever get a thyroid biopsy! The doctor scratched my artery while I am awake and he is just poking at my neck nowhere near the lymph nodes and says don't breathe well of course I then can't stop panicking because how am I supposed to stop breathing! Then it happened again because of course I still needed a lymph node biopsy and again this time they said Dr. Galvin ordered a thyroid biopsy! This is another money making scam hospital. They send you to a bunch of doctors to get money from Medicaid and support the drug war with Naproxen and nose spray prescriptions. Naproxen cause heart attack and they prescribed it to me in over-dosing amounts if I took as many as they wanted me to and as soon as the nose spray they prescribe goes over the counter, I get a letter about how it contains glass and is being recalled. Even my insurance coordinator couldn't get them to give me the correct biopsy or get the photos for skin cancer from Dr. Warso. The pay these people and don't even make them do their job.

Hopefully, the hospital has better communication with their patients than their employees. Took a friend for an interview (internal transfer) 11 days ago and absolutely zero communication since. I'm currently fighting a brain tumor and no way I'd want to be at a place that treats its' own employees poorly.

When I first read the reviews I was horrified and to be honest the staff when I entered the hospital wasn’t the most comforting. My grandma had a heart attack today and I felt bad because I was the one who insisted we go to this hospital (she didn’t know what was wrong and I suspected it might be a heart attack). I felt horrible after I read the reviews, and to be honest the Emergency Rook wasn’t the best (that’s why it’s 4 Stars). But once I met the staff and the doctor they were all so nice. My grandma was fine after and they showed my family and I exactly what they did. She’s now resting there, I met her nurse she’s extraordinarily nice.

Please ignore the terrible reviews about the ICU I can’t say anything about the clinic, but the intensive care Unit staff is so nice, along with the doctor being detailed and polite. As for the Emergency Unit I haven’t seen them when it was busy so I can’t say anything about the wait there was 2 people waiting including us. But overall it was great.
