The doctor's are very great. The nurses not so much. They will almost never check on you and give you a lot of attitude even to the smallest requests. There was however, a tech who was my age (21) she was very nice and her name was Addie. At least she went by Addie. She was really cool and sweet and did my IV really well. But overall this hospital is OK. They need some toys in the waiting room for children and also need some nicer staff.
Staff and, hospital best in Albuquerque. Super clean, and the staff is great. My mother had shoulder replacement surgery, which includes a brief stay in the hospital. I have visited numerous hospitals over the years, as a cop, and this is by far the nicest hospital I have ever been in. The staff is a hige part of this. Everyone we encountered was helpful, friendly, and cheerful. If you ever have to choose a hospital to use pick this one.
I ended up at this facility by recommendation from an urgent care and while on vacation. I started in the ER and ended up being admitted overnight. The staff is professional and very friendly. They took great care of me and I couldn’t have asked for more.
I have had nothing but problems with the sleep apnea clinic. I was to have knee surgery in early Sept 2018, had sleep apnea study done in July. I must have called 20+ times to get results and never got a response. Two days before scheduled surgery it had to be cancelled because surgeon didn't have results of study. Found out in late Sept of 2018 I do have sleep apnea which has to be addressed before surgery. It is now Feb Of 2019 and I am still waiting. I have had several more studies done and only on Monday of this week did I finally get results. Went in on Tues to be given results face to face only to have doctor tell me I had to have another study done as the one I had was too old. I had, had it done 10 days prior but he was looking at an old record. Finally got it cleared up, chose a DME provider, was told prescription would be sent to them the next day. Just got off the phone with DME and they haven't received anything. Called sleep clinic and they sent it to wrong provider. It is now 7 months later and I am still waiting. I can hardly walk, I am almost an invalid, I need help for everything as I have only gotten worse while waiting. Oh, in the meantime my previous orthopedic surgeon moved away, I was never notified and ended up having to start all over with another surgeon who saw me all of two minutes and walked out. I blew up and chased him down the hall and made him introduce himself to me and come back and talk to me. They must not keep good records as the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I will be changing providers. Very unhappy with SRMC.
I love this place. Everyone in 3rd floor ICU was incredible. Cannot say enough good things. Very professional, caring staff. This is the kind of place you feel like you could stop in just to say hi after you're discharged. I noticed several negative reviews and I don't understand why. Absolutely no complaints from me. Maybe the complainers just outnumber the patients who are happy, but who just haven't written reviews yet. Being something of a world traveler, I've been in hospitals everywhere-none better than this place. Great hospital, great staff. Did I say I love this place?
