Brought my son here today ONLY because his Doctor was unavailable n there close by TRUST me unfortunately you can actually trust the negative reviews. He told them his sinus n head hurt they didn't even check his face for tenderness or bring up sinusitis he told them his throat hurt they didn't check for strep or anything. Just quick n basic n dry with the care they give they take more time to discharge then they do to actually investigate what's going on. If you can find a BETTER ER then go there!!!!!

Do not use these people. My payment was made two weeks late so they sent it to collections. Called to make arrangements but were told I had to talk to collections. After paying collections, USMD continues sending bills after it was paid..The staff I talked to was rude and just wanted to get me off the phone. . My wife is a nurse and can’t believe the way they treat people. Said she heard they were this way.

I spent some quality time in the ER recently. I received quality care at USMD. I was seen in a reasonable amount of time, treated, x-rayed and out the door in just over three hours. I wish I could give a 5-star review. Here’s why I cannot... 1. At no time were my x-rays shown to me. The doctor described the x-rays to me, repeated the radiology report. But I didn’t get to see them. 2. I was told I’d be sent home with the x-rays. I was not. 3. The nurse who triage’d me lectured me about medication lists. I was in a lot of pain and was not in the mood for a lecture. She made a few jokes at my expense that had I not been in a lot of pain would have been funny. I wish she had better judged the audience or cared to do so. Lastly, she complained about her coworkers to me. That did not fill me with a great deal of confidence in the team care I would be receiving. 4. I worked with three nurses during my time there. Each of them had me repeat what happened. Each of them had me repeat my primary care provider information. I understand the need to ensure appropriate ID of the patient and condition, but the repetition worked my nerves and made me feel that folks weren’t reading the chart. 5. Also, despite having verified, re-verified, and verified again my pcp information, the nurses told me USMD would not share my encounter with my PCP. so, what’s the point?! 6. In addition to my primary injury. I had a secondary - less serious - abrasion on my elbow. All practitioners I worked with commented on it. Nobody offered to clean it up or bandage it. In fact, I was instructed to address it when I got home. If I had not been in an extraordinary amount of pain, had I not been feeling fragile, I would have commented on all of the above while it was happening. I am used to advocating on my own behalf. I wish that I had been able to do so then.

I been really happy with Dr Flory so far getting my health back in track

Hello Gift

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL TO ANYONE!!! Read this in its entirety: After a cough that wouldn’t get better, I became cold, weak, achy and coughed so hard, the right side of my chest ached causing me to not be able to walk well because of the excruciating pain. My fiancé drove me to the ER and the first hospital we came across was this one. Hospital ER workers DID NOT EXTEND A WHEELCHAIR FOR ME and I was in tears, could barley talk as I walked in. They made me answer a number of questions although I could barley speak. When I was called back, my fiancé asked them to please get me a wheelchair, the nurse responded, “SHE CANT WALK”?! I was forced to walk, although it was evident I was in extreme pain. Staff was incredibly unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. When Radiologist came to take me back for X-Ray, she yelled at me because my foot was wrapped up in sheet as I was trying to get out of bed. I finally mustered up enough energy to tell her “Do not disrespect me again”, just because I don’t feel well doesn’t give you the right to disrespect me”. They said I had bronchitis and a pulled muscle in my chest from coughing so hard. Gave me no antibiotics, just pain meds, icy hot patches and cough syrup. Days later, my condition progressed, I was in so much pain in the lung area, that I couldn’t lay on my right side. I went to a different ER, was instantly given a wheelchair, sent back to see doctors immediately. TURNS OUT, PAIN ON MY LEFT SIDE WAS DUE TO A COLLAPSED LUNG, I HAD BACTERIAL PNEUMONIA, A EMPYEMA AND WAS ADMITTED INTO THE HOSPITAL FOR 11 DAYS! I had to have a chest tube inserted to drain fluid from lung. DO NOT GO TO USMB ARLINGTON. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND MY CONDITION COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL HAD I NOT LISTENED TO MY BODY.
