Va Roseburg Healthcare System

My father, Ernest P McDonald, was treated like a KING by the staff at the VA River House. Dad was in so much pain when he checked in suffering from throat cancer. A HUGE thanks to Bonita Acosta, for getting him in so quickly, and to the rest of the staff for their compassion and care. I was kept informed every step of the way. I cannot convey my appreciation enough! He passed without pain, and that is a huge blessing for me and my family! RIP Dad! I love you, and will see you again before you know it!

In my personal experience I have received outstanding care form the VA in Roseburg. All those complaining, I can only assume, have never experienced civilian health care. I have never been treated with disrespect.

Absolutely the worst care ever! Waited 7 hours in the non busy ER before seeing anyone. Then the doctor took a whopping 5 minutes looking at me. Never resolved my problem. They try to say the level of care is outstanding when the only care they have is their paycheck.

The people here, especially the night shift,are so helpful. Especially the night shift. Always professional, always encouraging and never, ever seeming bothered or annoyed at being called on to help.
