Mr Nasty Time

I'm not sure about the negative reviews about this hospital. I went in and was taken care of promptly. The staff were friendly and caring. I guess a lot of people don't understand that this is an ER in an oilfield town. I'm sure they see a high amount of guys coming through who don't really have issues and just want to get out of work for the day. So they come in and waste the staffs time and the hospitals resources. And of course it's going to be more expensive than going to a much larger city like Odessa or Midland. They literally import their staff from all over the country and those nurses and doctors require more money because they travel to a rather isolated area. I'm sure you'd pay less for medical care in Dallas than you would in Odessa as well. So, thank you to the staff at Ward for being so helpful and understanding. You guys were great.

To the staff at Ward Memorial Hospital, I say thank you. On the 23 of June I admitted my 91 year old grandmother to the hospital. She was in for 21 days and released on July 15th. Needless to say she was in bad shape. From day one all I asked was they treat my grandmother like they would their own. They did. Both shifts, night and day. To often in bad times people focus on only seeing bad things. But with the young lady’s and gentlemen working with (Ma Cooley) we only seen professionalism and a caring staff. My grandmother, my family, our friends and my self say thank you for doing what y’all do.

I had lab work done and went here for the first time. Nice little hospital, very clean and the modern upgrades are impressive. Rachel at the front desk check-in, is a jewel. Very friendly, efficient and almost no wait time in the lobby. The lab was clean and the tech got my blood on the first try. The only thing is the price. Over $1300 for 6 lab tests. I was supposed to get an MRI done as well, but the wanted $2800 for it when West Texas Imaging in Odessa did the EXACT same MRI for $695.00. They will work with you and offer discounts for cash and payment in full if you can manage. The price of healthcare out here is negotiable.

I would have preferred not to even give this place one star. The staff is very rude. Wont even acknowledge you at all.. sat here trying to talk to the lady in the front and she just ignored us. And they are very snappy towards you about everything. Not very good service for a hospital.

The Sandhills clinic is great for minor things cold flu Med refills. Avoid the ER and hospital if you can. Go to Odessa/midland if possible.
