I went to the walk in clinic due to severe hip pain. The PA did a very good examination and called the ER doc regarding my complaint. I was instructed to go over to the ER for more exams. I had to go home first because I live alone and I had to make sure I had someone able to take care of my cat. I got "cold feet" regarding a return visit to the ER and decided to stay home. I got a phone call at home from the ER Doc because he was concerned about ME. To have a physician follow up these days with a patient is a real sign that my health is a real concern to the Wheaton Franciscan Medical Community. I just could not work up the courage to return however the following day I got another follow up phone call from the ER Doc wanting to check in with me and to encourage me to come back to the ER. My plan is to visit with my regular physician and if that Doc believes I need additional testing I will go back to the ER. I was just impressed with the level of care I felt from the ER Doctors, it felt genuine, they were not obligated to take the time to call me, they really cared about my health, I will always chose the Wheaton Franciscan Health Care Doctors, and the entire team.
