feedback about White County Medical Center
My review is specific to the cardiopulmonary department. The team there is always good natured and polite. They do everything possible to be accommodating to their patients. Blood gas draws are usually quite painful, but the gal that took my draw today was right on the money with the first stick; that takes TALENT! All in all, a great group of folks in that Dept.
This is in regards to the hospital not the doctors or nurses I’m leaving a poor feedback.
I want to know why a hospital has decided that a patient no longer can have a family member with them while they are being prepped for surgery that’s so wrong that patient needs comfort from family before a surgery. I think this is a VERY POOR BED SIDE MANOR to practice.
There was also blood in the floor of the hospital that had been there long enough to look partially dry.
Absolutely awful place to go to will never go there again for any kind of emergency. Went to the ER in serious pain and was in there for 5 hours while they were taking people back that had arrived after me. There was a nurse that got really rude with my mother and said "I understand she's in pain but shes not gonna die, we take people back by urgency" while I'm sitting there in pain for 5 hours waiting to be seen. I never got seen and ended up going to Children's in Little Rock and got seen in 30 minutes. I would highly advise anybody in a real emergency to go to Little Rock or somewhere other than this hospital, because they obviously do not care.
My 4 day stay was made as pleasant as possible by the awesome nursing staff. Every one of them were kind, concerned with my conmfort and eager to help in any way. I was on terrible pain before surgery and they kept my spirits up and never let me lay in pain when it was time for a shot. I wish I could remember all of their names because the need support from the community too.
Not great help. Go to Little Rock if possible. The ER nurses were very kind but things move pretty slow here.
