One week ago I gave birth to my daughter at White County Medical. This was my first time using labor and delivery and I was extremely impressed. My doctor had called in sick that morning and wasn’t able to perform my c-section and I wasn’t extremely found of the on call doctor (no bedside manner). However, the anesthesiologist (Dr. Spence) and the nurses were amazing. They were so caring and compassionate! They allowed my 3 year old daughter to stay the night with us for the two days I was there because she refused to leave me or her sister. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The rooms were private, clean, and very very spacious! The dietary staff and house cleaning were also very courteous, kind, and respectful. I would highly recommend the new life center for anyone looking for a hospital to have a baby!

If I have to go to a hospital, take me somewhere else it would be more affordable to die. Location refuses to work with you on payments. Bill must be paid in 12mo. I agreed to pay the amount they initially quoted per month. I called and made that payment. 5mins later I get a call saying I owed $30 more because I waited to set up the payment plan. I have documented notes stating agreeing to a specific amount just having to set it up later. No where was I told that amount would go up until after I tried to make the plan. The staff is reasonable from my experience with the ER. Not the best bedside manner but they have helped somewhat. But it just keeps coming up one additional charge after the next. This is MONTHS down the line where I suddenly owe for tests.

Currently sitting in this hospital as I type with my cousin who just had hernia surgery. We are in the 3rd floor and this staff on night shift is down right rude. My cousin has been asking for 2 hours to be hooked back up to his fluids after going outside for a few minutes of fresh air and still ner nurse has showed up. The housekeeping hasn't came in the room in days so it's gross and trashy. Seriously debating on telling my cousin that the next time he needs to have surgery and will be staying that he will probably be better off going to little rock. Very disappointed in this night time staff

My review is specific to the cardiopulmonary department. The team there is always good natured and polite. They do everything possible to be accommodating to their patients. Blood gas draws are usually quite painful, but the gal that took my draw today was right on the money with the first stick; that takes TALENT! All in all, a great group of folks in that Dept.

Everything was great from Lisa at admissions, to the imaging tech, I was impressed. Until we walked into the cashiers office. Rebecca I believe was her name did not smile asked a question and her answer was given with a shrug of her shoulders. I asked, "do I need to pay?" No. Ok so we left. And there were 3 other women sitting and 1 standing talking right behind her maybe she was upset for being the only one working. Smile
